We just stayed at this hotel. Everything in the room creaks and cracks. The first day nobody came to make up the room. It is overprized. The breakfast spread looks plastic. The bed and linens saved the experience. The staff was rude and unhelpful with the call we made to see why they decided not to make the room. Never coming back.

Nice clean rooms, typical of Residence Inns. Location near the University & grocery stores , etc. but not the beach. Good beds and sofa. Visiting nearby family so did not use any of the additional benefits. Nice staff. Hotel photos show a roof top outdoor balcony. It is over the office looking at the parking lot & condos.

This was our second stay and we will come back again. Large property. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Nice full size refrigerator. We would like to thank Claudia the hotel manager for helping us find just the perfect room. She was so kind and patient. Excellent service throughout the hotel. Breakfast was great. Even though the hotel was packed you couldn’t hear anybody. Really great location for visiting LaJolla.

Quite disappointed in the quality for the price. It seems that this location can get away with subpar accommodations because of its location on campus. The property is dated and needs some TLC and better CQ on cleaning. On our arrival, we got new towels and sheets with residue (ew), but daily housekeeping was otherwise decent. Rooms need some updates and repairs — we had a saggy “taco bed” and torn curtain sheers in our loft. The sofa bed needed refreshing, inside windows were smudgy, bathtub fixtures were wobbly and held together by caulk. One shower curtain rod was balanced on a ledge around the shower and fell on one of our heads when we opened it. Sound carries through units and in the courtyards. Pool is a nice amenity, but it’s small and needs better cleaning. On the bright side, the location is incredibly convenient by foot or by wheels to shops, and the breakfast is decent.

Had I read real reviews on yelp I’d have know better as they provide an accurate description of the property and what to expect from staff. This place is a sick joke. Management caters to pets and prostitutes so I had ZERO luck having them actually address my health and safety concerns. Instead, they went out of their way to make my stay so miserable that I’d just leave.
Filthy, disgusting, outdated facilities. My sliding door was missing the screen, Wi-Fi didn’t work, no hot water for long stretches, housekeeping wakes you up early on purpose so they can half clean your room and go through your belongings, staff runs around property all day being loud and rude, don’t even think about trying to relax. Positive there were some illegals on payroll, a full sex trafficking operation taking place, homeless people in the bushes and parking lot of the property, no security cameras or lights.
INFESTED with insects. A total nightmare.
