Nice place, uninformed front desk

Review of Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines

We bought the breakfast package with the room which was totally worth it! Our server Raul was one of the best servers I have ever had!! Ask for his table!

The hotel was nice - the front desk does not have any information about the bikes outside. The bikes are 20/hr. You have to ask the bell desk for a helmet and lock. Not worth it.

There is a bus stop right out front of the hotel which gives inexpensive rides to downtown LaJolla.

You can golf here, but it is over 1 mile to walk to to the beach - which is down the cliffs.

The landscaping is quite lovely and the views of the golf course are lovely.

Great proximity to Torrey Pine Golf Course

The rooms are large but need remodeling. The bathrooms were not stocked well so bring what you need. Maid service was not really consistent. I had to request service daily or it didn't get done. The restaurant had a limited menu and the food was just ok. Its hotel does have a little store in the lobby and a coffee shop that is only open in the morning . It is just a short walk to the golf courses and you have access to the course from the property. The hotel did help us get Tee times for our stay.

Spectacular

We had an amazing experience staying at the Hilton during the Farmers Open Golf tournament. The staff is friendly and remarkably personable. Rich Woods-Bell Captain never disappoints with his kind greetings and fantastic service! He remembers names, always makes sure we have water coming or going and is meticulous in the care of our belongings.

Great sunsets and stay!

Saw so many reviews & so glad we looked past them. Location was fantastic, rooms were fine and most importantly Fernando, Nick & his team were fantastic at the bar. Had a great time at the conference & would be more than happy to stay here again!

Room tip: Fun hotel bar atmosphere, beautiful sunsets, nude beach nearby was a surprise 🤣, great hikes and awesome trip

30 years?! No way Jose!

Beautiful grounds coupled with dark and outdated rooms made for a confusing experience for La Jolla however the new TVs add streaming options such as Netflix/Youtube which is a a plus. The main attraction was the bar located on the 1st floor. Great service highlighted by Jose along paired with a pretty impressive menu made for an entertaining and relaxing evening for us.

Nice room, good food but excellent service!

The room itself was fine. I didn’t have a view or much of a view from my room but when you went out into the lobby, you can take photos looking out to the ocean. What really made it for myself and my coworkers was the service. There was one person Who we spoke to on Thursday night who brought our dinner out to us and his name was Jose and he was such a nice guy. He had been with Hilton at that site for over 30 years. He tells us how much he loves his job and working with the people there , he talks about how Hilton takes care of him. He has a family and it just made us feel like we chose the right hotel because of the feedback he provided us. So, I’m an honors member and will continue to book Hilton hotels when I travel. if the team at all of the other Hilton, hotels are half as great as Jose and the supervisor that was on site in the restaurant bar then we will have an outstanding experience.
