As Hilton Honors members we had a promotional price for 4 days 3 nights. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean and quiet, decent size room, we stayed at king suite comfortably. The kitchen was a plus. The pool was cold in October.
I wish the pillows were firm. Room AC was working quietly and we had an option to open windows. Overall, this hotel offers nice budget suites. We'd stay there again.
Not what I would expect from a Hilton property. Very disappointing!! The beds were the most horrible beds I’ve ever slept in and they had nothing to offer in this matter. The pillows were horrible and we all ended up with neck pain and again they had nothing to offer.
The breakfast they offered was again Horrible. I really feel like the advertisement of this property should be addressed.
This hotel is my second favorite to stay at with family and my service dog.The rooms are clean and the staff are amazing keeping the hotel clean in all areas and very friendly and their complimentary breakfast was not bad.
Nice place. The only drawbacks for me, was their business center's printer was out of toner and we had to email the hotel itself to get something printed; and the laundry room had just 2 washers and 2 dryers and was, imo, overpriced at $4 each. $3 for detergent/dryer sheets each. The location was in a nice quiet area and just up the street is a shopping center for items you might need or food.
Located just down the street from Legoland, The Crossings Golf Course, Carlsbad Outlet Mall, and Palomar Airport, this is a nice and convenient property.
Easy to access from 5 and despite being just off of Palomar Airport Road, no noticeable road or airport noise (it’s an executive airport). Surrounding area is light industrial and very safe. Surrounding towns of Carlsbad, Encinitas, and Oceanside have plenty to see and do. One of the nicest public libraries ever is almost within walking distance. Great restaurants nearby as are some very good grocery stores. Heck there is even a Costco two miles away.
As for the hotel, the common areas are in decent shape and the breakfast area has plenty of room. The breakfast fare is pretty good too with a wide variety of breakfast foods to choose from.
Rest of hotel is getting dated. While the carpeting is clean, there are stains that just will not come out. Our room was clean, but some of the furniture especially the couches and chairs are worn and need replacement. Bed was fine for us but could tell mattress and box springs have seen better days.
Our bathroom was clean and the shower worked great. Toilet ran and we let management know. Not a big deal. We just closed the door. Refrigerator ran too.
Room cleaning is by appointment. Probably they are a little short staffed as a lot of other hotels are. Not a big deal as we didn’t need daily service anyhow.
We brought our cat with us. Kept her in the bedroom, and she was fine but nervous. Had to put her in her cage during room service. Extra non refundable deposit for fur babies.
Pool and hot tub small but well used and kept clean. Guests looked happy. 24 hour gym. WiFi worked like a champ. Television channel selection a little limited, but if you are staying here to watch television, get a Netflix subscription.
Free parking but parking lot is actually fairly dirty. Need someone to go out and pick up trash.
All staff we encountered were engaged, courteous, and helpful.
