When I first checked in the woman at the front desk, whose name started with an L, I believe Leah set the tone for a great experience. I found over the years. The biggest difference between a nice hotel, and a great stay, always comes down to the employees. This was one of those hotels where the staff went above and beyond for any request, making it very easy to write this review.

Staff is great, hotel parking is always safe and plenty lights, breakfast is good, hotel amenaties are on point, could use new or softer mattress, had a tv issue but they fixed it quick, morning check out is always a pleasure with management! Hotel is centrally located and right off fwy exit with restaurants and stores close by! This is my go to hotel for overnight stays in San Diego!!

The staff is amazing and the rooms are always pristine. The location is perfect to get to any Carlsbad attractions and with the shuttle service you don’t have to worry about Ubers! Won’t stay anywhere else.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for a Lacrosse Tournament. The staff was friendly, and put up with a lot of loud parents and debauchery. The rooms were clean, maybe just a bit outdated. But, being able to walk to Starbucks, grocery store, restaurants, and the glorious beach made it all worth while. I would absolutely stay there again!

I stay in hotels every week while I'm working and Holiday Inn Carlsbad is one of my favorites, very polite, super clean, quiet, and great breakfasts, but best of all, very reasonable laundry facilities, plus close to freeways. Thank you all
