Dream vacation!
We recommend: 1) Take advantage of the kayaks & sailboat. 2) Best lunch is at Tides Grill. Start with fresh local fruit while Chef Eduardo makes the tastiest fish skewers. Sit overlooking the ocean & Nelson will take great care of you. 3) Waiting for a table at dinner? Make a cheese plate at the buffet & get an excelente cocktail from Ignacio at the outdoor bar.
Best part of the preferred package? Eduardo, our butler. Always available to help with a smile. Made our stay A+ 1) He helped with an anniversary surprise by sending chocolate-dipped strawberries & champagne to our room. 2) We told Eduardo we wanted to taste more Dominican food, so he enlisted Chef Ramber to cook a perfect lunch: traditional sancocho stew & tres leches for dessert. Chef Ramber's effort really showed!
Overall, the staff made the trip amazing. The attentiveness, cleanliness, & security is top notch, (except the mangroves could use a cleaning). The hosts at the restaurants were great (Anai Liz, Pamela, Altagracia, Yomayra), the staff at the buffet was helpful, the waitstaff made every meal fun (Felix, Juan, Cesaria, Luis, Raul, Ismael), & Jeffry was always on point with our pool drinks!
Feedback to AMResorts: Embrace everything the DR has to offer & showcase it! The Dominican food that Chefs Ramber & Eduardo made was delicious. (The Italian, Asian Fusion, & American Grill was meh.) We loved the Dominican performance at the beach, which was more interesting & unique than the night shows.
