My wife and I just got back from visiting Punta Cana and I must say it was the best trip we have ever been on. Dreams Royal Beach is the resort I recommend all wanting to vacation, relax, and be happy. All that is a big thanks to our butler Roberto, this young man I now see as a brother deserves to be the first person to be inducted into the Hall of Fame of Butlers he for sure is a first ballot Hall of Famer. This brother took care of us and had dinner reservations, cabana’s setup, drinks, room service, and etc. all setup right away. I didn’t need to contact him he would set everything up like as if he knew what we like which was amazing. If you ever have the chance to visit Dreams Royal Beach make sure you ask for Roberto he’s amazing. Another person I also consider a brother is Santo working on the beach he took care of us the days we had the cabana and even after that. This young man is also amazing. I’m glad Roberto helped us get to know Santo. Both young men are amazing gentlemen and they deserve the best always!!

Let me start by saying I'm not the all-inclusive type vacationer, but this was a last minute trip booked with family and I was all in. Greeted in the lobby with a drink and upgraded to swim up rooms were only the start to a lovely stay. The rooms were equipped with everything you could need, including a box with masks and hand sanitizer. Nice touches with the fresh fruit and turndown service (though it only happened once). Eduardo couldn't have been a better Butler/host. He was available via WhatsApp at all times, escorted us to dinner, made our reservations and even ensured I felt safe by getting my family a reservation outside at Fusion even though they don't sit people outside. I'm still not comfortable eating inside. He went above and beyond multiple times to make sure we had the best stay possible. Thank you, Eduardo! They were filming for promos two days we were there and that meant areas were unavailable which was a bit frustrating, but Eduardo to the rescue made sure that we were compensated and treated like kings and queens!

The service at the pool and beach were also great. Jefry was always there to get us drinks with a smile (under his mask, of course!). All staff wore masks and provided hand sanitizer throughout the resort. There weren't a ton of guests so it never felt crowded. Some guests wore masks and some didn't.

Now for the food - the buffet had a wonderful selection. We loved Tides so much that we had that for lunch everyday. The cheeseburger (not with Swiss) was strangely a highlight, as were the chicken and fish skewers and rotisserie chicken. Simple quick lunch. Portofino left much to be desired, sadly. We only liked the Penne Diabla pasta out of everything we tried. Fusion was great! The fried rice was delicious as were the appetizers (didn't love the sushi though). Best of all was the Seaside Grill- appetizers were good as were the steaks and ribs! We really enjoyed this meal. The mashed potatoes were a bit cold, so adjust your standards as this is an all inclusive, but the steak was cooked perfectly. The desserts here were the best we had, too!

Overall, the resort had everything I would want in a long weekend Caribbean beach vaca. Great staff, great service and great rooms-except, if you are a light sleeper, do not get a room on the first floor. The family above me was awake at 6:30am every morning and in turn woke me up. The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. Everyone was friendly and down to earth. We walked next door to go to the Casino, which is small, but something to do at night. We found the servers next door to be unfriendly and we felt almost like we were an annoyance. We quickly ran back to Dreams and had the best service!
