First time at this hotel we went for the Easter holidays for 12 nights and the booking in was really fast and efficient at reception, so that was lovely and not always the case at hotels. First impressions of the hotel the photos on the website don’t do it justice.

I was worried about the rooms and upgraded so the kids were in a separate room so had a family room above reception. no five star hotels in Egypt have rooms you would say are five star but the layout was good and it was a great size and i was happy with it. The cleaner was great and friendly and did a lovely job each day for us leaving fresh water each day.

The food is without a doubt what lets this hotel down and its such a shame. Desserts very bland different colours but same taste for them all need some variety and name plates to say what they were would also help with the wastage as people would know if they thought they would like to eat them before taking them back to the table to find out not what they expected. There is no fresh Orange juice at breakfast just very strong orange cordial. You had to buy the fresh orange juice for 50 egp which i don’t agree with and should be free with all inclusive as it was at the Steigenberger Aqua magic. The best part of the food was the chicken on the bbq which was tasty.

Ice cream in an all inclusive which is trying to attract kids is a major issue. The named ice cream brands were £1 each which is not an issue for adults etc but they should provided cheap cones or non branded free ice creams throughout the day round the pool for the kids. The lack of things like this would stop us returning.

However the service in the main restaurant was great dirty plates taken away as soon as finished tables cleaned etc I can’t knock the staff they were all so lovely. Big shout out to Moustafa the young lad so great with my father.

The entertainment other than the fire show was port and definitely needs improving against the two hotels i went too in 2023. The entertainment area is nice but they need more cushions too.

This hotel is NOT environmentally friendly using throw away plastic cups round the pol which when empty were just constantly blowing around. Plastic throw away cups for ice cream in the restaurant the odd time you could get ice cream ! As well as plastic cutlery. i would like to see them be more environmentally aware and also didn’t like the drinks cups blowing all over the place round the pool very annoying. At the pool bar for the food they have Heinz small tomato sauce sachets. If they are trying to save money with no ice creams orange juice etc they should have a bottle of kept up to use at the bar this would save a lot of money and again help the environment and save the sachets blowing around the pool area (just a suggestion)

Internet, the first few days on getting there i was impressed with the internet but as the hotel got busier i had luckily purchased data at the airport to enable me to watch films on my iPad and answer work emails etc. I would advise if you need the internet for work or important things to get your own data.

The lazy river is not god this is supposed to be a relaxing experience and in other hotel you get a rubber ring to float round on. Here you get ina. Dingy boat and have to use a paddle to go round it. Everyone was manning as it was really hard work and not “lazy” at all. Needs changing for a relaxing experience.

The slides were great and the main pool with the smaller slides was safe and idea and the kids absolutely loved it. This is the main attraction of the hotel as the water isn’t deep and its safe.

Some lifeguards round the big slides seemed constantly on their mobile phones however rather than watching the safety of the children. I appreciate its boring for them but i wasn’t too impressed with this.

We went to the Italian restaurant two nights. Now this is a difficult one as the staff in there were the best and they went above and beyond with the children and were simply amazing. However you have to choose the meat you want in advance, which isn’t a problem at all as saves waste but you have no idea at all what it comes with or anything. The idea is great but it needs altering and giving more choice as lots of food waste as we wouldn’t have chosen a lot of the other starters etc and for the kids too so they need to develop this more and give detail on the menu in a lot more detail and it would be nice if you could tick for each course if you want it etc so save the waste.
The other really really annoying thing is there is a lot of food in this restaurant and we found it the nicest food on site however we were getting bought dessert out and put on the table before we finished our main course and it was very very rushed on both occasions. This needs sorting out as was not good and totally ruined the restaurant as with several course one immediately after another without any degree of a break os far far too much. Shout out to AHMAD and HESHAM absolutely amazing !!!!

Entertainment round the pool, there was various bits going of but we bought two forts balls for the kids and they put small nets up near the wave pool but the flowers and bushes around the site have thorns on ten times worse than roses at home and both balls burst. I wasnt aware there was a football pitch and i think for safety and for the entertainment staff should have taken them into a safe environment and used the hotels footballs. You are missing a trick here as adults and kids alike would play five a side football but it isn’t offered.

The kids area the play park is ok for very young children and the hotel should invest in something for the older kids between say 4-10 as wasn’t great. The staff were amazing with the kids in the Kid Club however this os old tatty and not like pictures and needs a good revamp as lets the staff down in my opinion as they are great with them.

Overall despite the food we had a wonderful holiday but the food would stop us returning which is such a shame.
