LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION

Review of Hotel Veniz
Reviewed Jan 6, 2022
Perhaps one of the most selling point of this hotel is its location and affordable rate, and probably also the reason we choose it. Booking this hotel was a breeze and even got confirmation email, got assisted with making sure the tourist pass dates are same as with our check in and out date. We opted for a standard triple room located on the 4th floor but upon checking the room, it has no windows and the AC is not working well, one of my companion asked for a different room and they were able to get us a deluxe room on the 6th floor for an additional fee facing Maharlika Center. The room has a Queen bed and a Single bed with all your standard room amenities. Take note though as this room is facing a busy area tent to be a little noisy.

The room comes with a free plated buffet breakfast with limited options from scrambled egg, tocino, tapa, and fish. Breakfast is not to be proud of; nothing fancy or even inviting. If you want just to fill your tummy then their breakfast is to go. By the way, if you opt to have your breakfast delivered to your room pay P30.
There was a time when the remote control of the tv was not working a helpful man came in to have a new remote delivered. As for my friend who dealt with front then with the overall stay, he has no problem dealing with them as all his queries was attended.

Overall, a no frills hotel, nothing fancy. If you just need a room to sleep and roam in the daytime, go here. Close to almost everything, Burnham, Night Market, Baguio Market to name a few has helpful people to deal with.

A visit to Baguio must be strategically planned to accommodate all your preferred activities especially if you are travelling as a family or as a group. The location of Hotel Veniz is still its best come-on - right beside the Abanao Market, one only needs to cross over to shop for your usual pasalubongs of fresh vegetables, Cordillera coffee, and other knick-knacks. At the back of the hotel, just a stone's throw away is Burnham Park, where you can do all your standard photo-ops and fun activities with the kids. Come night-time, the road closes in time for the "ukay-ukays" where you can get the best-buys for various apparels, shoes, bags, and other accessories.

Having stayed 4th or 5th times in this hotel, Hotel VENIZ in Burnham Baguio is now my most convenient hotel visiting this summer capital city of the Philippines. This time, it was a remarkable one, although, we happened to experience mishaps when my car was bumped in the city proper. I highly appreciate Mr. del Rosario, the owner of the hotel who has extended his help by referring me to his lawyer to make documents to retrieve my driver’s license which was confiscated by the police, many thanks and highly appreciate to him for his humble assistance.
I would also like to commend their 3 team members at Front desk namely Daisy (Manager) for my early checked-in, Daniela and Dale for my late extended checked-out at 12:45 pm, though it seems that they are not communicating each other if their collegue (Dale) allowed me to extend for 45 mins. I received several calls from my cellphone and also to our guestroom phone advising me that my check-out time is 12 noon, nonetheless it’s not a big issue for me which they could internally talk about it with their General Manager. The family suites is so spacious for 4 guests, and the suites is so clean and tidy. Thanks to Room Attendant Irene and Mr. Bernabe, the basement security officer who also deserves to be commended for being so helpful to extend their kind assistance. Over-all my stay in this hotel this time creates memorable experiences unlike a flawed arrival experience that I reviewed on trip advisor on my 3rd stay last Nov 2017

In my perspective, the tone of the front desk officer is condescending specifically in advising me that the check in time is 2pm. I feel that the front desk officers should have a positive aura and be couteous at all times. The management May need to remind and organize a refresher to the front officers on the importance of being courteous which may affect the image of the hotel.
With that said, the staff who receives luggage storage is very helpful and has a positive vibe.

We booked three rooms. My friends stayed at their superior room, while me, my husband and 1 year old kid stayed at their Executive family room last May 20,2019. Upon arriving at the hotel we were not greeted by the staff.Room was not in good condition with chipped paints. We heard drilling noise. Its not a good experience.
