Room was great, food terrible.

Reviewed Jan 10, 2023via mobile
I had a superior garden room. It was a large room in the garden area. No pool view= no pool area noise. Very quiet room at the busiest time of the year. Room was large with king bed and a daybed, aircon was very cold. Room didn’t have any smell and was cleaned regularly in my 10 day stay over Xmas new years. The breakfast was shocking though. Food was cold even if it was in the warmers. Bacon in Thailand in general is just awful deep fried stuff with just the bacon fat that’s always left on the top shelf of the egg cooking section so it’s always cold, only one person doing the egg station which is crazy at that time of year. Line up of people always 6-10 deep , awaiting for the 2 egg choice of fried or omelette. I went at different times and it was always the same. Food was the same every day except when some days there was no fruit as they’d run out.

All in all, I’d stay again but never with breakfast included. There’s some great little restaurants just outside the entrance to the left that offer European food and Thai, both are cheap and wonderful. Plus the staff are great. There’s also a cheap laundry there too.
I will also add, the place was overloaded with Russians , in fact the whole of Patong and Phuket is overrun with them and have been since the war between Russia and Ukraine .
One last mention.. the reserving of sun beds isn’t allowed and is stated on signs by the pool yet people get their stuff and put it on the lounges, go have breakfast or lunch and expect the lounge is theirs when they get to it. Or 2 people sit there, save more chairs for family and lose their temper when you go and sit on the saved lounge.

Good location to the main points of interest, staff friendly and housekeeping are doing a great job keeping the room’s up to a decent standard. Overall I think the hotel is looking a little shabby and in need of some maintenance, some broken and chipped walkways and squashed bugs on the walls. Breakfast was a big selection but the quality of the cooked food was not to my preference.

Just finished a 2 week stay and this is a tricky one to write as I was swithering on a 3 star.

Location is great, far enough back from the main road not to hear the traffic but you are still close enough to walk to all the nightlife and Bangla.

Staff were always helpful and special shout out to "Cream" our room maid who kept our room spotless and well stocked over the 2 weeks.

Beakfast is okay if you use the egg bar but the rest of the prepared food I was quite happy to leave.

Deluxe pool is fantastic to relax at but is ruined every day at 15:00 when for some reason they decide there is a need to blast out heavy bass music from the pool bar. Given the demographics of the people around the pool no one is interested!!! You just see people getting up and leaving.

My other issue is that on new years eve you pay top dollar for a room to get told the main pool is closed for the day and to use the smaller family pool (which was mobbed, no loungers and people ended up putting towels down on the concrete). If you are paying the festive season rates you expect everything to be available.

We stayed here before Covid and wanted a chilled out time which we got most of the time but will check out the reviews in the next few months to see if it is worth coming back.

The hotel is within walking distance from all main attractions i.e. Bangla Rd, Patong beach, etc. The room was clean and we received fresh towels daily. The downside, our room (1153) was right against a very busy street and we heard the traffic, music and noise every night and morning, when we were hoping to escape that. The breakfast buffet was avarage. Same thing every morning, not much variety in some areas. The staff is very friendly and the grounds are kept clean and in good condition. Thank you for that!

I stayed in this hotel for 12 days. Its not located on the beach but in a very quiet area of Patong which was great.
Nice pool area with beautiful garden. Excellent breakfast with many choices also for vegans like me.
Room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Wifi works very well in all areas

We came here for our honeymoon and we asked about a honeymoon package. We were told that they didn’t have a package but, they would do some flowers in the room for us as a gift. We agreed and were thrilled to at least get some flowers in the room. We also reached out to them for a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. They told us the driver would be waiting for us at the 2nd exit. When we got outside we saw the sign as posted but the driver wasn’t there, they had to be called and we waited 30 minutes for them to arrive to pick us up.

When we arrived at the hotel we had to lug our luggage up stairs are there isn’t a easy access way to get luggage into hotel to reception desk. We arrived in the evening so, the hotel was quiet. But, the 2 members behind the desk took awhile to check us in. The voyage to our room was tough because there’s no elevators as the rooms are set up like a campground. So we had to drag our luggage through gravel and uneven sidewalk.

When we finally got to our room we had to admit it was nicer than expected minus the promise setup in the room. We have no complaints about the room, it’s minimal as expected and has a working fridge which is a plus in the heat.

I got sick am with an upset stomach the second night here and my husband went to the front desk to ask if he could buy a sprite, ginger ale, or tea. He was told the kitchen was closed and he needed to go into town to get the desired beverage even after he explained to them my condition. I never thought purchasing a soda from a hotel would be an issue especially when they have room service and it didn’t require preparation for him to purchase the soda instead of walking 15-20 minutes to a store leaving me on my own in the room.

We also asked for a cup of ice to put in our water bottles and were told that they sell ice for 60 baht a bucket. I asked if I could simply purchase 2 cups as a bucket of ice is too much and we don’t have a way to keep it frozen since the fridge turns off when we leave. We were told that it’s only sold by the bucket and if we want ice we have to buy a bucket of it.

If it wasn’t for the fact that this location is good, we are on our honeymoon, and we can’t get a refund I would’ve gladly changed hotel. The customer service here has been the worst I’ve ever experienced and we travel quite often.

The breakfast is decent but, the heating on some of the food doesn’t seem to work so, the food is kinda lukewarm other items are uncovered and there are flies on the food. My husband enjoyed the rice and had that every day for breakfast. The juices are a mystery each day, they say one thing and taste like something else.

A few positives the beach is a 10 minute stroll away, the housecleaning lady was so sweet and kind, she told of us of a few places to visit and is one of the tea I’m not completely disappointed with our stay here.

Would I come back to this hotel, no I would not. There are other hotels in this area that are closer to the beaches and though they might cost a bit more, I think it would be worth it to have better customer service and quality of stay especially as it’s our honeymoon.
