Our first time in Thailand and what a hotel. There was only one fault so I'm writing it first, one of the lifts broke on our second day and wasn't fixed which left one working lift for the full fortnight.
We arrived about 9pm and were quickly checked in, there was a discrepancy with our board status as we had booked bed and breakfast and we were down as bed only but we had our hotel voucher and that hiccup was sorted. We had to give a deposit of 3000bht which was unusual as we usually just give our card details but no problem there. Up to the room and we were quickly unpacked. The plug sockets are universal so you can use UK plugs or 2 pin euro plugs. Plus there are USB sockets too.
We had a couple of drinks at the pool bar then up to bed. The bed and the pillows are probably the best we have ever had in any hotel we have ever stayed in (and we have stayed in a lot). My wife is as I type trying to find pillows of the same ilk.
The staff are really friendly there is a tuk tuk service that takes you down to the beach, we are big walkers so we only actually used it once much to the amusement of the concierge who every day after asked if we wanted to use the service but we enjoyed the walk so we politely declined. There is also a golf cart service up and down the slope that we used a couple of times.
The breakfasts were nice with a good variety of food. My only fault would be that you can order pork sausages and bacon from the chefs but the sausages were hot dog sausages and were almost exactly the same as the chicken sausages.
The pool was excellent no early morning towel game here, we went to the pool twice and we counted only 20 sunbeds but there was no problem getting a sunbed.
All in all an excellent stay at a lovely hotel with really friendly staff.
Thankyou.
