We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. Its position is great for Naama bay and for the diving schools which is what we are in Sharm for. As it was early in the year we were able to choose a room for our fortnight stay. Our room was dated , but a good size overlooking the pool. plenty of wardrobe space and a large bathroom. We had three fixtures that were broken in the room and one evening when the shower ran cold however the response was excellent when we informed the hotel staff and resolved/fixed in no time at all. The house keeping staff were very good , keeping everything cleaned, stocked up and a very entertaining way of arranging our towels into shapes . We were Breakfast only as we enjoy eating out in different establishments. A vast choice of breakfast available and we could sit by the pool enjoying our food in a very pleasant environment. Waiting staff were very attentive and cleared tables quickly and would often get drinks for us without us asking. The pool area was very clean and tidy but the sun loungers definitely need maintance and repair urgently. However the "towel men" in the pool hut were both friendly and helpful. Particularly the gentleman that was there for the duration of our stay , his name began with a M but he was not a Mohammed. He was a delightful man and looked after us so well , he deserves a plaudit.
We try to always provide a balance review , and there were a couple of down sides to the hotel in our personal opinion. The music from the animation team was awful, it drove us away from the hotel . The music was not only extremely loud , but the team playing the music would often change the songs mid tune , very unprofessional. The staff seem to be aware of this but did very little about it at times. Our second issue was the tips expected from some of the staff. There were some at the end of our stay that seem to really appreciate a tip , but there was one particular staff member who actually asked for tips for tasks which we didn't actually ask him to do. The hotel need to monitor this as it can be very intimidating. A further example was the taxi driver arranged by the hotel to take us to the airport for an agreed price with us, the taxi driver then wanted a lot more money at the airport , which we refused. This taxi driver seem to be affiliated to the hotel, so in our eyes they need to manage him. These examples marred our stay at the hotel and would wish other guest to be aware.
