My partner and I booked a last minute holiday here. We were both in need of a little dun. Boy did we get it!
We didn't expect too much having spent very little but the hotel surpassed our expectations. It was my birthday while we were away and the hotel went out of their way to ensure I enjoyed it. We had booked a junior suite poolview room and the room was lovely. Aircon was kept on all day and the balcony was huge on the 4th floor overlooking one of the pools. There is a minibar (charges extra) which is stocked most days and is charged to your room. Superking size bed and beach towels also provided. Free watee stocked eveey day.
There are several restaurants and snack bars during the day. There are also several restaurants you can upgrade to for a small fee. We chose the Teppanyaki restaurant on my birthday. They decorated the table with banners and brought out a cake and sang happy birthday. The food was beautiful. My only slight criticism is that it can feel a little rushed as they are very fast at serving and clearing but everyone super friendly.
The hotel had decorated our room for my birthday and beautiful flowers were purchased that the hotel arranged for my partner.
The food in the communal areas is a little hit and miss but they do cater for a huge amount of people so you will find something. Breakfast I found a little odd, salads and mashed potatoes, creamed spinach etc seemed a little odd as breakfast choices. All of the bread tastes a little sweet, almost like brioche but seems to be an egyptian thing rather than the hotel. Desserts, although a wide choice and varying colours etc, are pretty much the same so a little disappointed.
Lots of bars etc to get drinks, coffee/tea available all day. The small bar in the lobby area is extra charge as they serve more premium drinks. By far the loveliest of all the staff! I wish I had gotten the young mans name to personally mention him. He was kind and friendly each day and went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed out stay. (He was 28 and always smiling)
We ventured out on 2 excursions with red sea holidays, shopping trip and star gazing which was an amazing experience, quad biking, horse and camel riding and bbq.very very hot at 42 degrees but very enjoyable.
The beach is a short walk, through the hotel and into an adjoining hotel through their grounds. Yes there are alot of people that approach you but you can say no and they go away.
The hotel has a cash machine. Please do tip. £1= approx 60p in egyptian pounds. They do work hard and we were very grateful for their services.
I would happily stay here again, mahbe not in June as it is so very hot! Aircon is on in the bars and lobby but doesn't help a great deal when you'renot used to the weather.
Frew Wifi is only available in the lobby unless you purchase from reception.approx 35euros for the week for 2 users or you can purchase esims.
Maxim restaurant was a little odd but does amazing steak. Tutti Fruitti does nice crepes. Nigma does pizza/pasta during the day and a kind of greek/mediterranen menu on an evening which was nice. There are other choices that you can pay extra for.
The bars do serve small glass drinks so the poor waiters do work hard serving everyone constantly.
There is a starbucks just outside the hotel entrance which is cheap by english price comparison.
I recommend taking imodium with you. Not sure if it was the heat, the ice (water) or some of the food but it's definitely a must!
