I booked a dorm and got a single room, which was very nice. The wifi is good and there is free water at the hostel. It's only located a few minutes walk away from the center. The mattresses have been a bit worn out but everything else was fine.
Our host Sony was a wonderful help. He was accomodating and hard working. This was a perfect spot for us. We are budget travelers. We appreciated the clean rooms, A/C, and having wi-fi available. It was also nice to have a refrigerator available and kitchen to share. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is used to traveling in foreign countries. It was perfect for us.
We spent a few nights here and had a perfectly pleasant stay. The AC in our room worked fine, the WiFi worked in our room - although we weren't on the top floor of the hotel so maybe that is where the problem is.
All in all, the place was cheap and did the trick. I suppose I wouldn't recomend it to someone who wanted to spend lots of time in their room, but for a base in San Ignacio with days out exploring I wpuld re-book it in a heartbeat.
Belize is expensive. This place is absolutely one of the cheaper options for private rooms with private bathroom and aircon. We bargained to 65bz per night which is a lot cheaper than anything we can find since.
The room was basic but clean. The aircon worked well and wasn't too loud. The wifi worked perfectly the whole time we were there (3 days). The shower had good pressure and hot water.
The staff were very friendly. There is a communal fridge and living space you can use.
The location is also perfect. Quiet and a short walk to everything,
You definitely need aircon in San Ignacio in April! It was 40 degrees Celsius every day we were there and so we're very thankful for the cool aircon room.
Hotel is situated about 10 minutes’ walk rom city center. Room was small and dark. There were no furniture except beds. Stinky bathroom. No cleaning during the stay. A.C. not working. Hotel has nice patio where you can spend evenings. Staff is helpful and nice. Overall not recommended. Try to find sth else.
