Came by the pool after a long day of work to swim, even though we arrived a little late the bartender was very accommodating in ensuring themst we got something to eat and drink even though it was late.

The pool was great and so were the food, drinks and customer service.

I could not recommend the Log Cab Inn wheather it be for locals or Tourists more!

Thank you!

The location of this place is ideal. We had some trouble getting into Belize due to weather and they were happy to accommodate our shifting schedule. We were visiting during my wife's birthday and they supplied us with a cake, banners, candles, candy for the kids, and a gorgeous bunch of flowers from the property. when we had some other issues pop up during our stay, they were incredibly kind and understanding, not to mention incredibly easy to work with. The grounds are gorgeous, with a great pool, fantastic bar and wait staff, and the best vibes.

This place is a really good starting point for excursions. From here it's just a 5 minute drive to Cahal Pech and downtown San Ignacio. Perfect place to visit other temples and Tikal. Everything was clean and they have a lot to offer. We had a fridge in our room, tv, nice big shower. The only thing that wasn't good are the beds. The matras is really soft and doesn't offer a lot of support to your back. We are used to sleeping on a very firm mattrass. Other than that we had a very nice stay! The pool is great and they offer a lot of affordable good food and cocktails. Free wifi is offered at the poolside. The staff was super friendly! Would definitely recommend this place.

We arrived at 5:00 and didn’t get to check in until 7:30. There was a party that was supposed to go till 9:30. The music was so loud it was shaking our room. The music kept going after 9:30. When we called the restaurant where the party was happening, they told us 12:00 it will stop. Well 12:00 came and went then 12:15 the fireworks outside our room went off. We thought that would be the end of it but no. The music continued and we called the restaurant again and they told us 2 am the party was going to stop. When i questioned why it was going so late and why I was told the wrong times by 2 different and they just asked for my room number, instead of giving them my room number I hung up because I don’t want someone coming to my room at 1 am. Finally at 2:30 the music stopped, but the party people didn’t clear out until 3am. We Had to be up at 6am for am ATM tour. We ended up moving to a new hotel because there was another party the next night.

The only reason it is a two star and not a one is because the two people at the front desk were apologetic and they tried to do what they could by comping dinner and breakfast.

As part of an organized tour, we stayed here for two nights. The grounds were very pretty and the staff was truly caring, warm-hearted, very friendly and simply wonderful. Drinks at the restaurant/bar were always delicious and the breakfast was outstanding. Internet access was very good in the rooms and in the restaurant area. The only reason I deducted points was for the room (#8). The room we had was rather damp and the bathroom was smelly. Hard beds. The shower flooded constantly. Light bulbs flickered regularly. It was okay for a two night stay. I guess, if the weather had been nicer, we would have been by the pool more but it was a mostly rainy, cool two days and to get into town you have to take a taxi (BZ$ 10). It's not possible to walk anywhere. So, we were slightly stuck to our rooms. US TV programs and AC available in rooms. The individual cabins may be nicer. In town, I recommend these two restaurants: The Guava Limb Restaurant and Ko-Ox Han Nah. Both amazing.

My husband and I booked 2 nights in this lodge surrounded by nature.
The environment was well cared for, especially the common areas.
The staff were very friendly and helpful but the rooms needed some maintenance
Overall, my opinion is positive

The place has a lot of things to get solved which make your stay unpleasant.

-Cabins are dirty. not to mention how disgusting the bathrooms are.
-cabins are deteriorated. Cabling hanging, hot water not working, phone not working.
- Staff seems to be overwhelmed when asked for help.

We spent a lovely 5 days here at log cab-inn. We were met from our flight at the airport and taken straight to the location. The staff were lovely and friendly. Staff at the location arranged trips for us each day which were amazing. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us, but also knew when to leave us on our own too.

Our stay was completely relaxing and problem free. The cabins were nice and everything you would need, the decor was a bit dated but the a/c, fridge, electrcity and showers never failed during our stay. The food was lovely, breakfasts were fantastic. I would say the menu was very much geared to american style food and choice was a little limited, however we did on a few nights ask for a local alternative and were not disappointed! While we were there the weather was fantastic, it did not rain during our stay and it was not too hot, not too cold. The log cab-inn was quite quiet in the evenings, which suited us as newly-weds, but if you are after a busy evening scene, this would not be the place for you. It is also about a 40 minute walk from San Ignacio which is do-able in daytime but we did not bother at night.

Log cab-inn was perfect for us, quite, relaxing, nice base for trips, good food and friendly helpful staff.

I recently spent with my wife and our friends: another couple, four wonderful days in the Log Cab-Inn. I would highly recommend this hotel. For an affordable price it is a perfect place for a base to explore Mayan cities of Xanantunich near San Ignacio and Tikal in Guatemala.
Picturesque location in a tropical garden, beautiful outdoor swimming pool and a very friendly service makes it an unforgettable experience.
Monique (the hotel's Manager) contacted us with a Guatemalan driver named Luis and a Mayan ancestor named Noel who became our guide, They were waiting for us on a Guatemalan side of the border.and later gave us a wonderful trip and very knowledgeable tour of Tikal. They both speak very well English, they are very nice and friendly, and last but not least: they charged us a very affordable fee.
I would very highly recommend not only the idyllic hotel but also Luis' and Noel's service if you are planning a trip to the one and only Tikal.

We stayed here for two nights. I'm giving this place 3 stars because though there were a few things that were negative, overall I think it is a nice place to stay for the money. When researching San Ignacio accommodations I had a hard time finding something that was reasonably priced and not a dump. It is not a dump - The place is on lovely grounds - quiet and apart from the city. I have to say that it is further from San Ignacio than indicated - it is about 2 miles, and it would not be a road that you would want to walk on at night as it is a rural highway. Daytime walking is fine, but just be aware that it will take about 45 minutes to walk into San Ignacio. A cab is easy enough and will cost you $5.00 (American), so that is what we chose to do after walking the distance one time.
Our cabin was small, but cute. The bathroom is VERY small, and it is a little awkward because the door opens into the small bathroom instead of out to the room. The bed was not good - too soft and you kind of sink into the middle of it. Pillows were way too thick. Also, the maid service forgot to clean our room on our second day there, and we had to wait about an hour or so after a long day at Tikal to have them clean the room so we could shower. On a positive note, the food is delicious - we had breakfast every day and they are willing to get up very early to make you breakfast so you can go on any day-long tours. We also had one lunch and one dinner there, as well as drinks a couple times. The pina colladas were awesome, and I ordered a chicken quesadilla meal twice. Iris is very accommodating and will respond to whatever problem you may have. If you don't mind rustic (with rustic comes risk of bugs, of course) and being a little far from town, it is a nice place.
