Aamby Valley City is a huge place spread over hundreds of acres of lush green mountains. They have developed only about 20% of the land that they own. I had been to this place about 10 years back and visited again last week. I must say that the place is beautiful and clean as ever, however, it has lost its charm in terms of being upmarket and chic. The maintenance is not up to the mark and its just living on its past glory. Not sure if it actually deserves the premium being charged now. They have a variety of stay options from villas, chalets, cottages, etc to choose from. We stayed at the Town plaza cottage. It was clean and green all around, however, it gave a feeling that its old and not very well maintained. Outside food, liquor is not allowed and inside stuff is very expensive and their service is slow.
On the positive side, loved the clean air, greenery and long peaceful walks inside the resort. Played a lot of cricket at their ground near the golf course. Overall had a good time, but felt that it was not value for money. There are better options around like Hilton and Club Mahindra Tungi resort.
