When I came the pool was closed, but in Summer I'm certain this is a super chilled place to stay. The cost of the room is good and on both occasions - I met really cool and fun backpackers.. A journalist from Holland, A Software designer from Germany, and a Car fabric designer working in India from Bilbao.

Barcelona and Toc, exemplify how affordable and easy it is to visit European cities on the fly to have great experiences

Great Place..Bad Service

I had a great time staying at TOC. Affordable, clean, and a great breakfast spread. Unfortunately, when I arrived it was check-in time (3pm) and it took a while. When I got to my shared room, the bed I was assigned was being occupied. Naturally, I didn't make a big deal out of it and got a bed that wasn't being occupied. The lady from the front desk gave me a rude look when she came up after someone else was having accommodation problems and I explained my own situation. Ironically enough, that exact same staff member assigned me the bunk that was being used. Other than that, the rest of the staff was great and would recommend to stay here.

A hostel where you also can stay as a "grown-up" tourist

Since 1981 I have travelled with students and stayed in hostels all over Europe. This was one of the better - as a teacher I stayed in a fine room with my own bathroom and fine facilities. The staff was helpfull - and also the students were OK with their 6 or 8 persons rooms. Breakfast OK. I rate the hostel as HOSTEL.

Room tip: My clear if you are not a students - there are better rooms to the left

Good hostel if you wanna be by yourself

The hostel is very clean, wifi is good, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the only thing that I didnt like it, they dont have any mirror in the bedrooms.
Another thing that I didn't like (and this is totally personal), was because I was travelling alone and the hostel is very quite. No one was in the common area having a beer, for example. So FOR ME, wasnt good, because my purpose to this trip was meet people.

Good enough for real tourists!

Travelled from 29th October till 1st of November. We had a family room (for myself, my wife and two kids 11 & 3) which was private and not shared with other guests. The room was too small but when you travel to Barcelona you shouldn't stay at hotel/hostel , you need a clean and safe hotel just to sleep at nights and take a shower. The hotel is in a great location , 5-10 minutes walk from Rambla street. one minute walk from metro station. if you take Airobus from airport the station is just a few hundred steps far from hotel.The room was clean with a daily cleaning service . A safe box was available but you need to pay a 20 Euro deposit for a hardware key in addition to digital key which is fine and they will give you the money back at checkout day.The reception guys were very helpful and friendly. there was a bar and breakfast area and if you don't want to pay for the breakfast there is a location where you can prepare your own food with some amenities such as microwave,pots,toaster, ... . All in all you should remember that you've paid for a hostel in city centre of Barcelona not a luxury hotel in

What a chilled place

First time I have ever stayed in a hostel and was pleasantly surprised. I lovely staff. It was very clean, had a room on the top floor for party of 4 with private toilet and shower. Great location very central. Plunge pool and pool table. I would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend this hostel.
