Well, we searched high and low for a good hotel in Barcelona and we were lucky to find Casa Camper.
The hotel is located just off La Rambla within 5 mins walk of Placa Catalunya. Near to La Rambla yet no noise at all.
The Aerobus arrives into Placa Catalunya so it’s easy to get to the hotel from the airport either by taxi or bus.
The building is a conversion of some old shops with the facade preserved and a full new building built inside. It’s a very trendy building with exposed walls, services etc and very modern in its design.
We had a suite (A35) for ourselves and our daughter / boyfriend and even with just the one bathroom it was spacious and sufficiently private for all.
Beds are large and comfy.
Great intro tour from the hotel receptionist to show us all the facilities.
Terrace on floor 6 is superb and a great place to sit in the evening.
Snacks and drinks are available all day both downstairs and on the terrace. Alcohol is chargeable yet all soft drinks are free.
Breakfast was plentiful and great quality.
Hotel rates in Barcelona have gone through the roof yet at least here you feel you are getting something for your money.
And we would stay here again.
