I booked a senior suite from the 23rd of November to the 25th and was really looking forward to the stay. I had read and heard a lot of good reviews about the hotel. However, I was incredibly disappointed. Firstly, the staff were incredibly rude. Throughout our 3 day stay we only had one time where the water in our room was hot to have a shower with. We constantly called reception to help and each time we got an answer that they were working to fix it. Nevertheless, it never got fixed and we had to have cold showers. For such an expensive hotel the least you should expect is warm water. Additionally, everyday we were left containers of chocolate, however, they were always empty, as if the staff either ate them or didn't bother to check to refill them. It was a truly strange experience. After I arrived home, I sent the hotel an email detailing the problems with our stay to ensure no one else has this problem; however, to this day I still have yet to hear from them that is why I decided to post this message.

This hotel is really impeccable with amazing architecture and a rich history in the 20th century modernist movement. The building is beautiful with very much a luxury 5 start GL feel, and the staff are very friendly and professional. The roof top terrace has lovely views of Passeig de Gracia and is perfect for a relaxing drink at the end of the day.

The rooms are ornate and very original, with fabulous bathrooms. I was really impressed by my stay and it was a beautiful hotel.

They also have live jazz on Thursdays and an amazing lunch restaurant with a 3 Michelin star chef.
