We spent a night in the hotel prior to catching a train next morning. Th circumstances were bit unusual is it was just before the Coronavirus restrictions came in to force - the hotel was closing next day. The receptionist was very helpful and provided lots of useful information about the current situation He managed to rustle up dinner and breakfast, despite limited availability of potions. As always with Travelodge, the room was immaculate and comfortable.

So like many people from the UK I’m accustomed to a Travelodge and whilst you know what you’re getting this place is definitely not it. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
The rooms go beyond basic. Essentially you get
1. Bed - not firm and every time my partner moved or turned over i was disturbed and vice versa. And you get one pillow each. Staff will send another one if you ask
2. Small table
3. Plastic uncomfortable chair - just the one.
4. A hanging rail - no wardrobe.
5. A small shower tray with horrors of horrors a plastic curtain that has the propensity to stick to you should you move in the shower. The shower is under pressurised.
6. 1 mid sized towel to dry with and one hand towel. No bath mat - so step out the shower onto the gritty feeling undoubtedly not clean for washed feet floor.
What was missing at this Travelodge to others
1. A drawer to put things in
2. A bath mat
3. A hairdryer - you have to pay €10 as a deposit for a very impotent one at that.
4. A coat hook in the room
5. Tea and coffee making facilities
6. There is no free Wi-Fi in the room they change over €3 a day! Better to stick with a mobile phone bolt on or sit in the lobby where it’s free!
Breakfast isn’t always included and for €9 you can have the one supplied. It is ok bit nothing to write home about. Better off taking a stroll around the neighbourhood to one of the cafes and enjoy a glorious pastry or bread.
Be careful of rooms numbered evenly as these are on the side of the terrace area for the breakfast buffet or for those who take advantage of the food options offered by the hotel. That may sound nice but when you don’t smoke and you open a window for some fresh air and the room ends up smelling of musty ashtrays you may change your opinion.
The room purports to have air con so long as you want to be in a room at a minim of 19 degrees c. For those who get hot you’re in for an uncomfortable night!
The location of this place is ok. It’s way form the hustle and bustle of the city which is only a few stops away on the metro. This is a couple of streets away. A bus stop is just outside the hotel with a regular service. There’re area variety of restaurants near by and plenty of supermarkets and cafes, bakery’s and fruit shops. There is a gentle and welcoming vibe to the area.

We are sorry to hear that the comfort of the beds did not perfectly meet your expectations. Our mattresses come from a leading national brand and are changed every three years to guarantee the highest quality to our customers.
As for the furniture, it is specially designed for our hotel chain, since we understand that a piece of furniture designed open, without doors, is a guarantee that it is always clean and the client can check it at first sight. The chair is made of a white material, of guaranteed resistance and easy to clean, that although at first sight it might seem plastic, it is only necessary to touch it to see that it is not such a material.
On the other hand we are sorry that the water in the shower did not come out with the right pressure for you, we were not informed about it so that we could have you checked by our maintenance staff. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
Furthermore, in each room we provide a bath towel per person, as well as a hand towel and a bath mat per room. The customer can request more towels from our team.
Regarding the hairdryer, we do not include it in the rooms but we provide it at the reception desk with a deposit of 10 euros which will be returned to you after the return of the product. (as with the kettle)
Regarding your indication about the Wifi, Travelodge offers free and unlimited wifi in the common areas but for a daily supplement in the rooms except for the reservations made from the official website of the hotel which will have free wifi in the rooms. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Concerning your indication on the air conditioning, our system is automated to offer our customers automatically cold air during the summer and warm air during the winter. In any case and for another occasion, if you consider that the air conditioning is not sufficient or you believe that it is not working properly, please do not hesitate to request the assistance of our reception staff at any time of the day (24 hours). We will be happy to assist you by checking the system and making any necessary settings.

Have stayed at Poblenou before, it's handy for public transport and restaurants. Staff are very helpful and friendly, breakfast is very good and the bar is always open and reasonably priced.Will be staying here again in October.

Great hotel in a good location near to the Metro with a few good restaurants around. Great prices, comfortable and yeah everything was good. Really had a good stay here and would go back to a Travelodge again after this stay for sure.

Stayed with my wife for a couple of days and was impressed with all the staff we came across. We should give a special mention to Katy who served me at the bar and made arrangments to change the pillows in the room and to make us feel welcome.
