Although it's only a 2 star, the location of Adagio is why we stayed here. Located right in the centre of the gothic quarter! Everything is a few mins walk. Rooms were basic but very clean. Rooms can be quite noisy, but that's Barcelona for you!
This review is based on price, location and cleanliness. At £113 per night it is not cheap. It is less than hostel standards and not very clean. Has amenities such as safe (if it opens, ours didn’t) and hairdryer. Very close to La Ramblas so good if you aren’t spending time in the hotel. Didn’t experience any issues with things going missing like some reviews suggest. Views are not good
We were staying at the hotel last weekend. Unfortunately a very personal t-shirt was lost from the room during our stay.
The support from management to solve this matter was ridiculous poor. We have still not received any apologies or compensation for the missing t-shirt.
I recently stayed at the hotel and the maids stole a pair of expensive shoes from my room. After consistently calling the hotel more than 7 times and speaking to numerous different people I asked the manager David to contact me and left my number to which he never did. Every-time I called they would say he wasn’t there. Do not stay at this hotel, management are terrible and the maids are thieves.
Visited as a last minute city break with my partners. We were a bit apprehensive after reading a few reviews but couldn’t fault the price. We were very surprised upon arrival, staff very helpful and friendly. The room was a good size and had everything we needed and the bathroom was small but again had no faults with it (the showers are very powerful which I loved). Had a very present stay and the hotel is in an amazing location, couldn’t have asked for a better hotel for the price we paid. Would definitely return if in Barcelona.
