I stayed here with my partner on the weekend of 10th may-14th may. We arrived at 11pm at night and check in was speedy! However, on arrival, we were told that the lift was not working therefore we had to walk up 4 flights of stairs with our luggage which wasn’t very pleasant after travelling all day! Hey ho these things happen though. The lift worked perfectly fine all weekend from then on. When we arrived to our room there was a bag of plaster all over the bathroom floor and 3 dirty towels- however the rest of our room was spotless and we couldn’t understand how this had happened. I rang down to reception to try and get someone to sort this issue, the receptionist told me that someone would come and look at in 10 mins. Half an hour later there was no sign of anyone. Therefore, my partner sorted this issue out and cleaned it himself as we just wanted to go to sleep. After we had sorted it, a man came to the door who spoke poor English and it was hard to explain what had happened. Therefore, we decided to just let the issue drop as we couldn’t be bothered anymore. Apart from this mishap the rest of our stay was lovely! The hotel is a 2 min walk away from the metro and then this is a 15 journey into the city centre, which we didn’t find too bad. The hotel is situated in a student area. There isn’t much in terms of restaurants near the hotel- therefore we had to commute into Barcelona every day. We didn’t have the breakfast in the hotel as we thought that 15 euros each was a bit steep. The curtains the in the hotel are black out ones, therefore, we would wake up at 9am thinking it’s 2am! Very quiet hotel and is a business hotel. We would return to the alimara 100%!! Thanks for a wonderful stay.
