If you want to be next to Las Ramblas and placa Catalunya, it’s a good location. There are better hotels for the money. Do NOT stay on the top floor, the air con units make the whole room thrum like a helicopter landing. I was moved from 507 to 403 when I asked, staff were helpful. Rooms are very basic, firm beds, tired bathrooms, no USB sockets and NO COFFEE in the room, just tea and a kettle. Breakfast coffee is great, food is all cold stuff but there’s no shortage of restaurants nearby so get a rate without breakfast and take some coffee. This hotel is situated on a pedestrianised street near to the cathedral. Despite the street being busy we did not hear any noise (although there is some noise from other guests in the hotel). Bedrooms are clean and compact with good bathrooms. Breakfast is ok but better value options can be found in local cafes. The hotel is very clean. Staff could be a little more welcoming. Ideal for the airport bus - a 5 minute walk away and all local attractions. A very good value for money hotel.
