We stayed here for 4 days and it is a lovely hotel, really clean and the beds are very comfortable. You can walk to quite a few places that are close by, la rambla is around a 20-25 minute walk away plus the gothic quarter is a little bit further. We also walked to the beach area which took around an hour. You can of course get taxis, buses etc. real fast at the hotel was your normal continental with the addition of scrambled and boiled eggs plus mushrooms and sausages. We found the front desk staff we encountered to be unwelcoming upon arrival and departure with no greeting or have a nice day which for us let the place down, although the girls on the breakfast were very smiley.

Great hotel in a super spot for sightseeing Barcelona and its attractions. Its local to all bus/train services should you need them. We didn't pre-order breakfast as thought to eat out but actually it was so good, varied and plentiful we soon made it our start to each day. All of the staff we met were polite and accommodating. The front desk most efficient and welcoming. Room service and cleaning of a high standard. We did also have a couple of drinks at the bar one evening and the lady bartender made one of the best Sangria,s ive ever had. Top marks for Hotel Balmoral. Well done team!
