A nice hotel option for Barcelona Breakfast set up needs attention.
The room I was allocated, was a really nice room with a great view. The amenities and gymnasium are well equipped, although there was a rather strange smell down in the basement when I went to use the gym.
The pool area is very cosy, although is it very limited sun loungers. There is a very small pool suitable for a dip, but not a swim.
And one of my main concern is when staying at Hotel is getting a good nights sleep in a quiet room I would say the noise levels were kind of average but nothing to complain about.
The only criticism I have is on my second breakfast there was a very large corporate group that basically took over the area. It was definitely not the same offering all those charged the same, €35 for the privilege. It was not a nice experience at all. The staff were really struggling to cope with the large group and the other guests. While they did their best. I was not happy with the service and spoiled my experience as it was noisy, busy and slow. I could only suggest that these large corporate groups are separated and Hotel guess that are not part of the group located for separately. There was no attempt to offer some sort of goodwill gesture when I mention this to the F and B manager and again at the reception.
Chances are you will not be unlucky like I was, but I do think this Hotel does cater for larger corporate groups.
Apart from that, I would say that the front desk were extremely helpful and professional.
The location is perfect, if you’re arriving from another country on the train as it is a couple of minutes walk from Barcelona Sans station.
I managed to hire a bike and it only takes 15 minutes to cycle to the main attractions in the central district.
