We would have given more ratings, but no air conditioning during summer was just too much to endure. It was almost impossible to sleep.
The breakfast was good and the garden is a really nice touch to the place.

It's a beatiful place. It's cheaper probably beacuse it is not in the center, but it's close to a subway station (Montbau) and in few minutes you can get to the center. The neighborhood itself is very quiet, and there is a nice breakfast.

We stayed here two nights. Hotel is within 10 minutes walking from metro station. Rooms have only seperated beds and no aircondition. Breakfast was okay. Staff was great and very helpful. Nice garden to stay in. Rooms have "hostal atmosphere".

Stayed September 6. The building is somewhat like a dormitory. The room was small and basic but met the needs of a solo traveler. Wifi was secure and adequate. Parking is free (big plus) but when I arrived around 1PM the lot had only one space left. By the evening there were plenty of spaces available, but you could have difficulty during the day. The included breakfast was adequate but it started at 8AM, somewhat late if you want an early start to the day. Staff spoke English and was very helpful. It is about a 7 minute walk to the Montbau metro station, which takes you directly into the city center.
But be advised: my room did not have air conditioning. During hot days in Barcelona, the room will be hot. With the window open, I was able to get the temperature down to 84F after dark. But after a long hot day in Barcelona, a cool room would have been nice.

Honestly, I feel bad for saying that it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, because the staff was ok. They could be more friendly, but whenever I asked for something, they were quite helpful. However, the cleaning service is awful. We checked in on Thursday noon, and the room was "cleaned" on Saturday! By the way, by "cleaned" I mean they just emptied the trash cans (for the first time in 3 days!) and changed our four towels (two towels per person, and when I asked for two extra towels on Friday night, I had to explain to the receptionist that I wanted to take a shower and I had no clean towels because I dropped one of my 2 towels on the floor, right in front of the shower to avoid any slipping accidents, and the second towel fell by accident. All I'm saying is that he had quite a hard time giving me those towels because they were going to change them the next day, and his reluctance seemed odd to me). The second reason for being so strict in my review is the WI-FI connection. It says in the description that there is an available WI-FI connection in public areas, BUT it was only available in the reception area and, theoretically, in the TV room. Nonetheless, the connection was really poor, so I had to sit in the reception area EVERY TIME I wanted to search for something on the Internet. There was no WI-FI connection available in the dining room where we had breakfast (neither in the rooms, but we already knew that). Okay, it is not the most important thing to have internet access, but I do not consider it a luxury either. The third disadvantage is that there is no air conditioning in any rooms. We were lucky because the weather was cool at night, but the first night, when it was quite hot, it was really hard for us to fall asleep in so high temperatures.

We appreciate your comment as a possibility to improve our service in our guesthouse.
Right now, as you can check in our website or other websites, the cleaning service is every 4 days with the changing of the sheets and emptying the bins in the rooms and towels are changed every 3 days as a sustainable policy in our house. But if someone needs a towel, as it was in your case, we have extra towels in the reception.
We apologize about the wifi service this has been been already solve. t is true that it should work in every room and common areas in the Guesthouse building. Unfortunalety we have no wifi in the dining area.

Large grounds, clean but small rooms. More than a short walk to train station into centre of Barcelona. Staff helpful. A convention was being held whilst we were there and loud music was played in the open grounds until after midnight. OK if you don't mind commuting. Rooms priced accordingly.
Room tip: Find out if a convention is in progress and get room far away from entertainment.
