One of the best W Hotels I have stayed in, amazing location, dedicated and professional staff, entertaining and clean.
Specially their WET DESK restaurant & swimming terrace, run by young, energetic and smiling staff and managed by the very elegant Mme. Olinda Lopes
We were a group of 6 friends first time in Barcelona and wanted to check the bar at the W however we were not let in because we had a shopping bag where i had my trainers! I changed to heels as I thought this hotel deserves a-total look! The girl at the door didn’t let us and offered no place to store my shoes
Very disappointed as a hotel of 5stars has no cloack room! They didn’t even care we went away! I know they don’t need money but the customer service was awful

As frequent travelers we like to scout out new hotels to see where to stay. We’re currently staying at the El Palace hotel in Barcelona and let me say it’s light years ahead of the W in the way they treat visitors. The W won’t even let you in the lobby if you’re not a guest. How pretentious. I highly recommend staying at El Palace and avoiding this hotel at all costs.

The hotel did not disappoint. I have always wanted to go to this hotel and booked a 3-night stay in the Wonderful room. We arrived late at night and there was still a great environment in the hotel. Staff were more than happy to help with the check in process and there are more than enough people hanging around ready to help.
The room was fantastic and included a bath additionally which was not expected. The shower room was 10/10 and plenty of towels to use.
The curtains are automatic which is great and the view is fab. We enquired about an upgrade to a better view but this was quoted at £250 extra per night. We decided not to, as our view was sufficient.
The hotel at night does attract outsiders that use the club environment. At one stage in the evening there were plenty of people in the reception area just lingering around for the club which didn’t feel great, and wasn’t as such very welcoming to look around the hotel.
Many reviews here talk about it being a loud party hotel. This is not true at all. I never once heard music or rowdy people from my room and it was probably one of the best sleep I’ve ever had. The mattress was 10/10.
We had an issue with our air-con in which was ‘fixed’ but continued to not work. When we enquired for a fan, they instead told us we could have an upgrade to a higher room with a better view (which was the original £250pn upgrade option).
We of course took this for our last night and the view was fantastic. The shower was even more powerful. I should say it probably is not remotely worth £250pn but it is a fantastic view.
The breakfast each day is absolutely amazing. The quality is high and there is also plenty of menu options. The Salt Restaurant is the best place for breakfast as it is practically on the beach.
The city centre is about 40 minutes walk away, but there are enough local restaurants and bars to suffice.
Spa & Pool is worth doing and is a nice free addition.
One comment I will make is that food & drink in the hotel is rather expensive. A can of coke anywhere is €5.50!
I will be returning to the W Hotel if we can manage to find a discounted rate in the future!
What a view! Good service on any patio.
Beach is just there in front of you.
Food is good. Room are clean. I’ve prepared a birthday surprise with flowers, balloons and magnum and they did very well, everything was so beautiful.
Only thing i would recommend is letting Glovo driver ( food ) to get to bring our food to the reception and bring it at our rooms. I mean at this price i think it’s fair enough !
And the gym needs a bit of love :)
