We were robbed during our stay at the hotel, someone entered our room and stole wallets, a designer bag and hat. As if this wasn't unacceptable and serious enough, when we reported this to the hotel staff we were met with an extremely confrontational attitude and rude behaviour. They said the door didn't lock properly so basically it was our problem and the only thing we could do was going to the police and report what happened (which obviously we were going to do anyways). Not a sorry, not anything else. We've been coming to this hotel every year for Primavera Sound and never would have thought that our things would get stolen here and that the hotel staff and especially the manager could be this rude and unhelpful. This is absolutely not the way to treat regular customers or really anyone at all, I was deeply saddened and shocked to see that there was 0 empathy for what had happened (it almost seemed that they were blaming us for having our things stolen). When we went to give this feedback at checkout the manager told us that he couldn't accept it, which left me speechless. Needless to say we'll never go back and no one should either.

I am here in Barcelona on business and chose the Princess Hotel because of its proximity to the convention center coupled with the ‘decent’ reviews. Any hotel in the world is capable of having issues. The mettle of a business is not whether problems exist, but how they deal with issues when they arise.
I gave this hotel a 1/5 because of their lack of response to the broken air conditioner in my room. I have now been here for 5 nights and after complaining at the front desk 5 times, the air conditioner still does not work and I have not even been offered a new room. Further, the front desk staff has offered a very unprofessional response when I approach to ask for help. I get the impression they are saying to themselves “here he comes again!”
Not only will I never stay at this hotel again, I will never stay at any of the other Princess hotels again. Please do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

Water temperature regulation is horrible - hot water surges all the time when taking a shower and leaves you scolded and swearing. No irons available - ridiculous for a "business oriented" hotel. I don't want to use their ironing service, fair to say that if if I need an iron I am in a hurry. The rooms are pretty worn and have a lot of quality issues - there were lights hanging out of sockets in my room and an uncovered power outlet right next to a sink. The toilet water ran 24/7, the plumbing made rattling noises. Also overall poor noise insulation, you can hear what's going on in the neighbouring rooms and the corridor.
