This review is for the private double room with private bathroom. They don't have a front desk, so we had to meet up with somebody from the hostel in front of Hard Rock Cafe in La Rambla, which was not a big deal since it was close to the hostel.

The location is excellent as it is right by La Rambla, a busy street where everything was happening. The hostel was also within walking distance to the bus stop for the airport bus, which was super convenient.

The double room size was pretty big in my opinion. We came in October, so the lack of air conditioning was no problem for us as it was cool enough at night.

A couple things that I thought were inconveniences were the private bathroom & the lack of luggage locker. The private bathroom was located outside of our room, but it has a lock. So, we had to come out, unlock and re-lock the bathroom every time we wanted to use it. Furthermore, since there's no luggage locker inside, we had to store our luggage in an outside locker (which was still within walking distance). Not a big deal, just a bit inconvenient.

Overall, we were satisfied with our stay there. It was a cheap hostel with an excellent location. We would definitely stay there again.

Okay so the furniture of the place is new and modern, location is okay and the wifi works really well but the good things stop there.

My tip is don't stay here during the hot summer months because there is NO aircon. I know it sounds picky but it was actually hotter inside the hostel then outside on the streets. This makes it incredibly uncomfortable at night to be able to sleep. The fans they provide do not help at all. Also the beds are hard as rock.

The big problem with the beds is that there are BED BUGS. My room had 2 beds and both me and my friends woke up in a sweat every day with new bites on us. We tried to contact the staff but they never replied. It was horrible. They clearly DON'T clean the beds properly because I have read other reviews that say that they woke up with bites too. These reviews date back to 2015!!!

Honestly, try find somewhere else too stay especially if you're in summer! It brought down the whole morale of the trip to Barcelona for us.

the only real positive was the location, we were about 1 minute from la rambla, which isnt necessarily a good thing either with all the noise and tourists swarming, otherwise the room we had was pretty bad... terrible mattress, tiny room, horribly hot (only had a basic fan), no access to drinkable water, no access to refrigerator anywhere in the apartment (something you'll definitely want for cool beverages with the intense summertime Barcelona heat). stay somewhere else that has none of these problems for $15-20 more a night
