This was the first time my wife and I have been to this place. It was fantastic. My wife had a schnitzel and I had pork tenderloins. Awesome! The place is huge inside. Great atmosphere and service. We will definitely go back here if we come to Leipzig again.

We had a wonderful lunch here that included Saxony dishes as well a vegan dish for my daughter. The restaurant is in a historic building, and our entire experience was delightful. I highly recommend a visit!

This place offers great food, great beer and a wonderful atmosphere.
We really struggle with reading German so we chose from menu blindly (discovered there was an English menu. But where the fun in that?)

I had a chipotle coated bread with bacon and tomato. Which was beautiful and very delicate
And as a main a roast pork dish with round potato and caramelised onion. It was phenomenal. Lots of meat and crackling and again all the flavours very well balanced and very good value for money

I had some lovely Riesling and my partner went for the house beer. Both were excellent.

I recommend to all.

We (four) lunched here last Thursday on a daily visit to Leipzig.

Duck, pork knuckle, and bratwurst with associated accompaniments were ordered, with appropriate sauerkraut, chips etc.

All meals were ok in presentation and the chef did a great job in making such standard fare really enjoyable - a reasonably large quantity of food, expertly prepared. Wine and beer were good choices to complement the meals.

A great historic setting, although service seemed just a little slow.

Of its type, very enjoyable overall.

The space is very nice and warm, but some of the decoration are not suitable for a historic building: kitsch, plastic flower... The food experience was measured in quantity not in quality. To much meat and less vegetable.
