From the time we called over for the water shuttle to the whole group on the dock waving good bye we were VERY well taken care of and accommodated like royalty. The guides were very knowledgeable and very prepared (limited out early so we found other things to do) and great guys to hang with. Sue in the kitchen was a delight allowing us to borrow stuff to cook out found oceanic treats ( one regret that I never had time to cook Gnocchi with her) and the food was a culinary delight. And although all the reviews say it can't be repeated enough Cheryl, Brian and family are the best hosts ever at any resort, fun, intelligent hosts that made our trip the "tops"!! Thanks and I will see you all again for a romantic getaway with my wife.

We planed to visit Bamfield during Canada Day long weekend 2018 and booked Forest View Cabin to stay for two nights. Very unfortunate one family of our group (6 adults and a boy) had an emergence issue, their 4-year old son got the fever before the long weekend, we thought it just was a flu or cold and would be ok for couple days after took some medicines. One day before the long weekend started the boy was still showed no sign of recovery, so we took the boy to the hospital and found out he actually got pneumonia, anyway we had to cancel the trip to Bamfield On the day we supposed to be arrived in Mckay Bay Lodge, so we email Brian and Cheryl about the emergence we were facing and let them know we would not go to stay with them and they can rent that Forest View Cabin out for someone who needed during the busy long weekend. The most surprised thing was Cheryl email me back and told us they will not charge me on my credit card they held when we book the cabin even tough their cancellation policy is 60 days notice before arriving.
We felt so grateful and thankful that we dealt with such wonderful and thoughtful host from Mckay Bay Lodge. Even we didn't go to there and stay with them we already felt warmest welcome and help from them. We will definitely go Bamfiled again and stay in Mckay Bay Lodge this summer whenever we have chance. We will definitely recommend them to everyone we know who are interested in visiting Bamfield.

A wonderful trip! We rented on of the houses on the Mckay Bay Lodge and it was amazing. Everyone there was so nice and helpful! We went fishing every day and walked the nearby beaches. 100% would recommend, and I cant wait to go back again!
