Beautiful mountain cabin experience.

Reviewed 3 weeks ago
This was a great place to stay. Quiet cabins surrounded by mountain ranges on all sides. It only takes 10 minutes to drive into Canmore for any amenities you want. The cabins are older but well maintained. The beds were comfy, the kitchen very well stocked with dishes, pots, pans , etc. Each cabin had its own deck with mountain views, seating and your own bbq. Lots of activities on site, including pool, hot tubs, etc. We were delighted to see a newly surfaced pickleball court as well! If you want to be in the mountains and just enjoy the outdoors away from your busy life, this is a great place to do it!

It's a clean place to lay your head after a day of sightseeing, but it's out away from Banff and even Canmore so expect to be a bit separated from everything. Otherwise it 's a place to land. If that's all you're expecting it will suit you just fine.

We traveled in early December hoping for more snow, but on arrival it was bare and wet. We were thrilled when it snowed heavily after a couple of days. There are around 45 cabins and only about ten cabins had anybody in them. The short drive into Canmore was not an inconvenience. The surrounding mountains were spectacular. We even drove a little further into Banff a couple of days. Long drive from Seattle, but worth it once you get there.

Enjoyed our two night stay at this resort. We highly recommend it. Worth the money. Staff not super friendly but did their work. Accesible and clean. Near Calgary, and friendly atmosphere will come back again.

a pleasant find of a slightly more remote resort away from highway and town, but close enough for groceries, etc. Larger, older cedar A-framed chalets that have a need for some further up-grades as several of the safety, heating, ventilating parts have outlasted their operability. A great gem of location, decently stocked kitchen equipment, and a good get-away destination if you are looking for some lack of traffic and crowds. The management of temperature is a challenge to cool enough to sleep comfortably (even in November) and there is no air-conditioning so the extra fans around the unit are going to be needed in summer for sure.

This is a wonderful family resort, very freindly and accommodating. So close to all things nature plus close to Banff and Canmore. They had games, movies and books were could use and our cabin was cozy and spacious. A bit dated, but no dissatisfaction on our part!
