Quite possibly one of the nicest properties at the best value in Toronto. Driving in downtown Toronto is terrible. The location of this hotel is great for walking. We were in town for a Blue Jays game, and the stadium was maybe a 10-minute walk. It's even closer to Union Station for easy alternate transportation. The lobby is beautiful, the front desk staff was friendly and informative, the rooms are large for what you'd expect of a large city downtown hotel, and the beds were very comfortable. Each floor had an ice machine, and next to the ice machine was a water bottle refill machine. We really like that. We also liked that the room had a separate recycling bin from the trash, I don't think I've ever seen that in any other hotel. The pool area was nice, had a couple cool hanging egg chairs that looked out over the rooftop and some of the city, and a hot tub. The pool itself was a bit odd as it was a bit smaller than you'd expect and it was 5 feet deep in all areas. That didn't stop our young one from swimming, she just had to go to the edge to hang on more frequently. For being downtown, the rooms stay fairly quiet from outside noise. But, the doors are super heavy and are hard not to slam so you do hear slamming doors from the hallway quite a bit. I liked that you could pull off the street to check in and unload the car and the parking garage was onsite, under the hotel. Parking fees were also quite reasonable. When looking for a place to stay in Toronto, this hotel had much better rates than others so I was a bit skeptical, but now I am thinking the other hotels are just way overpriced. We had a wonderful stay.
