Can barely see thru the windows due to condensation between the double pane windows. Main lobby not very appealing to people coming in. The main doors are all dirty, it dosen't look clean as it is the first impression that you get when you enter the place.
This hotel was interesting. The pictures and price are what sold us on booking here. Unfortunately, when we arrived it was another story. It’s situated in a little sketchy part of town. It is very dated and not the cleanest. The staff were very welcoming. Unfortunately, not a lot of parking. You want to try and park up from where it appears to be a little safer then the back of the hotel. The back parking lot appears to share with the municipality, and you take the chance of being towed if your not in the corrected area. No amenities in walking distance. We had a “family” suite that had a common room with a pullout couch. It also offered a full bathroom and another room with two queen beds. Pretty spacious and breakfast is included in your stay. The dining area is pretty small and not a lot of food options. Not ideal for a family. Next time in Winnipeg, I’ll stay closer to downtown and pay a little extra for a more secure area.
As others have said, rooms are dated, but are clean. However, staff is terrific, especially Buna, good breakfast selection and very reasonable rates. Would certainly stay again when in Winnipeg! Fitness room, ice machine.
This is an economy hotel that provides the basic essentials.
nothing to become overly excited about but not disappointing either.
You get what you pay for. The rooms are cleaned daily which was nice and becoming less common.
This place has had a bit of a downward trend since i first stayed there. The outside is looking a bit rough and things are starting to look well used. The area in general is sOne oddity is how dark the place feels. The blinds are down and the lights dim. Brighten the front area. I also liked the reading area that used to exist with a lending library - replacing that with a cooler with drinks is not amazing.
The plus is that the employees seem very competent and breakfast was better than expected. No issues with cleanliness or the room condition. The room was actually nicer than the exterior would suggest. Perfectly fine to stay in. Price was reasonable considering the time of year.
