Crystals! This little place was recommended to us a few years back and I'm glad we stayed here. We stayed here for 4 nights after staying at a resort further up the coast. While this is not a resort, do not overlook it. This little hotel is private, romantic and charming. It is also children friendly. We stayed in Sugarcane and it was huge! Everything was clean, comfortable and uniquely decorated. The view from the pool is was sold us on this cottage. We wanted to sit in the pool and enjoy the view of the Pitons and that's exactly what we got. You're up in the hillside with an amazing breeze which actually makes it quite cool and well needed! Yes there is some noise from the birds, frogs etc. But that's all part of being in the forest and the experience. You're also surrounded by palm and Mango trees! We ate at the restaurant twice it was so good and you cant beat the view in the restaurant. We got to meet Monica and she was the sweetest, giving us tips to explore Soufriere. The staff were great and brought breakfast to our cottage every morning, which was delicious (I wish I asked for the pancake recipe!) While we were there, we wanted to explore the area. The staff set us up with a driver that we ended up utilizing for 3 days, he goes by the nickname "The General ", and he was great. The volcano mud baths, Botanical gardens Soufriere beach and Sugar beach are a short drive away. If you do choose to rent a vehicle and drive, you'll definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The driveway is a bit of a challenge. But DONT let that put you off from coming here! There is a full kitchen in each unit so I do recommend stocking up on your favorite beverages and snacks. With the full kitchen, you get the main appliances you need ie toaster, coffeemaker, French press, water kettle, plates, cups/glasses, utensils. They do stock you with some tea, coffee, sugar, salt/pepper, milk. Bring binoculars! You can see the volcano from Sugarcane and for bird watching. Come here and enjoy the peace and being with nature!
