Our in-house rum tasting is held weekly by the memorable Michelle who offers a selection of Caribbean rums for tasting along with delectable accompaniments prepared by our culinary team. It is indeed one of the highlights of the Soco experience and enjoyed by many. We are delighted to know that you experienced this and enjoyed it thoroughly.
We went to this hotel for our 25th wedding anniversary on the recommendation of our daughter who came here on her honeymoon in 2023…and we were not disappointed!
A gorgeous intimate hotel, rooms are spacious, great beds and views to die for. The staff cannot do enough for you and the food is amazing, and Michelle’s run tasting event on a Wednesday morning at 10-30am….lordy lordy….fantastic fun in every way and you also get great knowledge of the rums… just expect to have a ‘little nap’ in the afternoon as after all of the tasting, singing and dancing it becomes a long morning….

The most chilling peaceful and friendliest hotel I’ve stayed at. From moment we arrived you are greeted at reception with a cocktail. Bags taken to our spacious room and rooms all look out to the ocean. Michelle gave a rum tasting session and she is so knowledgeable and such a lovely funny lady. All bar staff and waitress service excellent and food is lovely. Very small intimate hotel but easy access to wherever you need to go with bus stop right outside door of hotel. Celebrated my birthday whilst there and table at dinner was decorated and lovely dessert with candles and singing from waiting staff was a lovely touch. I certainly would recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel and great food! The vibes are great; you have to do the rum tasting when you come!!!! Michelle was great we had such a fun time, the sun was great, we liked the rum, we enjoyed the music. Hop on the reggae bus for only a couple of dollars

Great workers,poor management.I would not have booked this hotel if I had read the reviews.
I found that there was dirt and grime on the handrails and doors together with the arms on the settee in the reception area.
Food good but same menu for two days and then changed for the next two days,very little choice.
Only one beer,’Banks’,a malty brew and spirits were local and rough,not premium at all and frequently ran out of the best tasting.
The hotel is very tired , the owners do not seem to care.
I have looked at the reviews of their sister hotel on Tripadvisor and they appear to have the same problems.
All that said I feel that the staff are very good ,welcoming and friendly.
I would not recommend this hotel at all.

We are saddened to know that your stay at Soco did not meet your expectations. Our menus cycle every two days as you correctly stated. Our lunch and dinner menus offer three appetizers and five main courses each, along with three deserts. Our guests are generally very satisfied with their selection, we do apologize that you did not enjoy your dining experience. We will be sure to log and investigate all of your complaints.
