My wife and I stayed at Tania in late June for the third straight year as part of a two stop Cycladic tour w/a bookend stay in nearby Folegandros. Once again Mary and Dimitris and Tania and team provided an overall welcoming/warm experience with flashes of over the top hospitality and thoughfullness. We stayed in a ground floor/central room with amazing all day views along and over the top sunset. Breakfast continues to be a unique and one of a kind experience with homemade cakes (chocolate lava and lemon my favorites) and savory treats like spinach pie and little cheese filled Greek empanadas. Eggs made to order. Fresh fruit - dried fruit - yogurt and homemade granola bars. In a word - breakfast at Tania is incredible. One day we wanted to take some of Mary’s treats to the beach and she not only obliged but gave us cooler packs and a Tupperware kind of container (which we used throughout our trip !). Every morning at 7am before breakfast members of the staff walk around the patio areas scrubbing and cleaning the floor/chairs/tables - the place is immaculate. On the third or so day of our stay - I came back to the room to find a selection of local beers in the fridge - Dimitris had noticed on my IG page that I like craft beer and he wanted me to try Milos’s own Syrma pale ale along with a beer from mainland Greece brewed near his hometown. This is the kind of place Tania is — they treat guests like family and provide the extra personal touches that turn a great vacation memory into something much more. You won’t get this at most Airbnbs. We didn’t get it in Folegandros. And of course - the Pollonia location is really special - end of a quiet street - several nearby outstanding restaurants, a couple of unique beaches and sleepy port town complete with/its own winery. Can’t say enough !
