This is not a luxury property. But the pool and hot tub are very well maintained, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the restaurant food is good, occasionally great. The spa is a highlight, with services like facials and pedicures above average. There were no massages available when we were here. All of the staff were very kind and authentic and went the extra mile for us. We usually stay here in the summer (when it's quite busy). We really enjoyed how quiet it was in the winter. We'll be back.

Pleased to see that carpet has been replaced with flooring in hallways - much cleaner!
Adult spa pools were very clean and pool times for guests were well organized.
Restaurant could use an upgraded menu but staff were pleasant and gave good service.

Hecla is a great place to make memories as a family and find lots of rural adventure with clean comfortable & stylish amenities. It’s relaxing, fun, and the island itself has so much natural beauty and interesting history.
