Likes: the receptionist was very accommodating. Our room seemed newly painted/renovated and clean, refrigerator was clean. Toilet was clean. Shower grout and floor was clean and not moldy. Water flowed down the drain properly (I hate standing in my own puddle in the shower) Pools were crystal clean. The towels provided to us was clean and faintly smelled of bleach. We were allowed to use their cell phone at the reception. Cable in the room. AC unit worked good. Has a fun atmosphere.

Dislike: guard was not at his post. We waited for a while for him so we could get in for check in. The bathroom ceiling was poorly painted showing mold under. Shower head needed cleaning an.,d water flow was poor. AC filter needs changing or cleaning, it had thick collection of dust. Water heater unit and cord needs cleaning too kill developing mold. Restaurant staff needs to be attentive to diners. My husband waited at the table for 15/20 minutes in that time no one approached, I had to go to the cashier counter where three of the employees huddled conversing among each other in the next room near the cash register to get a menu and to place our order. Wait time for food needs improvement.

My family and I spent 2 nights here from July 2-4. We were 16 pax in total including 3 kids. We’ve been to Bakasyunan in Tanay and we loved it there so much that’s why we decided to drive more than 4hrs to reach Iba because of the beach. The resort looked older than the one in Tanay. Rooms are spacious, beach is swimmable, food in the restaurant is good. The staff are nice and polite but the service is bad. I don’t know if they lack proper training or they are just understaffed. I called a couple of times to confirm my booking for i did not receive any email from them. I called the head office to find out that they booked the wrong rooms for us. No banking details were sent nor booking confirmation so I told them i will just settle everything upon arrival. We requested for extra mattress the moment we checked in and got it in the evening. The restaurant menu has desserts and cold treats but not available when you order. They said they only serve commercial ice cream in their chest freezer. So why put those in your menu?

We are just a bit disappointed for we are expecting the same service like the other branch. If it’s not because of the beach, we will not waste our time going there. We could have just went to Tanay where service is tried and tested.
