The happy hour offers (Monday to Friday) is well worth a visit. Half price on certain appetisers $5 draft and $5 milkshakes (check which ones with the server). The burgers were large and very, very good. You have to order fries as a aside in addition to the burger. The service was good and quick, could not fault it. We went twice during our holiday. For happy hour you need to be sat on the bar stools or high tables.

Great family dining spot in my opinion, or good for whoever your party is. Good music and decor, and had a friendly waitstaff. You can expect the each entree or burger to be pretty high at $15, especially since fries are not included and an extra $5, but definitely the food was above average, although not, knock your socks off-best burger ever. The service however was A tier. Probably 3 different bussers or waitstaff refilling water at all times or subtly checking in on you to see if you need anything. They also accidentally made our 3 glasses of wine we ordered twice on accident, and they ended up giving us 3 extra for free! Maybe my review is a bit bias now haha. - Would have gotten a 5, but it was expensive for burgers, where you could find similar quality in cheaper spots. But it did earn four in my book for amazing service and fun environment to be in. Also walking distance from the 911 memorial. I wouldn't say it's a must go to every time your in downtown Manhattan as a 5 star rating from me would be, but definitely was not disappointed and would return with friends who've never been there before so they could check it out once too.

After a long day in the wind and snow Bill's was a welcome place to warm up and enjoy some good comfort food. We enjoyed a Fat Cat burger, Big Cat Burger, Cheese Burger and Shrimp Burger. All of them were wonderful. The burgers do not come with sides but the fries and mac and cheese are big enough for 2 people to share. We ended the meal with a over the top yummy Oreo Shake and Peanut butter bomb shake. Prices were fair and the food was tasty the service was friendly but not super attentive.

We ate at this restaurant several times during the period from 12/23/19 to 12/30/19. Our first visit was due to its location in New York Marriott Downtown where we were staying. After that we went there just to use the credit from the Destination Fee charged by the hotel. The food was generally heavy and tasteless and the service varied between slow and totally inattentive. The bar that is associated with the restaurant is much better from the service standpoint, but the food comes from the same kitchen so it is no different.

Sadly our experience wasn’t good. Service was ok, but food was terrible. The quality of the meat (we ordered the Killer B’s) was terrible, greasy, without flavor... they are really killers... We couldn’t eat them. That doesn’t reflect what an American burger is. We won’t go back

We were staying at the hotel and front desk recommended we visit the restaurant and let us know it close at nine. After a long trip in a rainy day we diced to follow the recommendation. First impressions was horrible the “bus boy” was very rude it was about 7:30 and he sad the wait time was 30 min to 1 hr. The restaurant was noticeably empty. We waited and the waitress sat us down. The bus boy came to serve us water and ask us “you ordering now or waiting til 9 and left”. I was ready to walk out no need to be rush eating when the waitress assured us we had time to complete our meal relax. A couple of other family came after Bus boy gave them the same statement. We order wings, drinks and burgers ( making simple). We loved the wings super good. My mini burger were ok and the other burger were delicious, Our drinks after two reminders and completed our meal didn’t arrived. They finally gave it to us “to-go” and didn’t charge them. Since we were staying at the hotel and my kids enjoy the wings we decided to give it other try and this time we went earlier. Wings came out wrong buffalos instead of bbq kids couldn’t eat them and were changed and my daughter order didn’t arrived we had to take it to go since we couldn’t wait. Again they didn’t charge us for her order. Waitresses was friendly and they try to make up from the mistakes but overall I just wanted to have a good meal with my family without inconvenience.

Don't know about the uptown location but the lower Manhattan location at the Marriot had horrible service. I visited on a Friday night, and it was not crowed or anything but the employees were non existant. No one was working the doors. I wandered through the restaurant aimlessly until I could get a reluctant bar tenders attention who came to my table and took my order. I asked for my burger with pickle only. When the food came, the burger had no pickles. How could you screw up an order that simple? They just don't care. Anyway the smash burger was $15.00 and just okay, nothing special. Of course their was no offer or even care enough for a drink refill. Not good. Again the burger was just okay, like the shape and flavor of a Shake Shack burger.

Booked for two but no manning at entrance so had to walk up to the bar to get seating allocated. Ordered one pizza pepperoni soups and one Bills burger as well as a Coke Zero and a bud light. Food was served before drinks arrived and when asking for the drink, we were told that there was no bud light but coors light or ordinary bud was available. I asked for coors light and was promptly served a regular bud. The soup was luke warm and the burger was underdone, soggy and tasteless. This was possibly one of the worst meals we have had in NY. And that at $38. Not going back ……

Spent the week @ the Marriot where this location is housed for a work conference. The staff @ Bill's Bar and Burger were great -- specifically Joe and female manager that ran the bar for conference attendees on 8/25. Joe and manager were attentive, engaging, and made great drinks! They both went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying our time! I would come back in a minute solely for that level of service and would give 5 stars if that were the sole rating criteria. Food was ok

We had dinner on Saturday night (10th) - great food, generous portions and the nicest server who was so friendly. However made the mistake of going back the following morning for breakfast. We were advised by server that portions very big (we assumed as was the case with the previous nights dinner) so ordered pancakes with a side of bacon between us (2 persons). $15 for 2 not-very-tasty pancakes with maple syrup and $5 for 2 pieces of bacon. It was in no way considered a large meal to be split. My coffee was cold (not intended to be cold!) and my $8 orange juice was a glass of ice with little or no orange taste! Not sure I’d ever eat here again..

My family went to NYC for the first time in early November 2022. We had never been and was planned as a trip for all of us to experience NYC. It was a great trip with a mixture of experiences and restaurants. One choice was to try this NYC established burger. Well, it didn't live up to expectations and for value, it really fell short. We went on a Friday at 6:00 with a reservation. First, they said they couldn't find it, but the restaurant wasn't full, and they seated us at a table near a window which was nice. Our server came over and he was terrific. Personable, attentive, and a good conversation. My family had no expectations of Happy Hour deals but as you will see in our photos below, we were seated at a table with a table card advertising Happy Hour! I will add that there is also a huge chalk board with the same Happy Hour special advertised. We came there looking for some good pub like food and were pleasantly surprised with the offer. I mentioned it the serve and he said that it was past 7:00 he thought. Truthfully, I think he was just caught off guard. It was 6:15 and I said that we wanted some of the appetizers and drinks advertised but to let us know. He went over asked one of the greeters and came back and said he was sorry, but it wasn't being offered. I was confused but asked for our drinks and order appetizers anyway. When he came back with the drinks I had some time to think and just politely asked why the card was on the table if the special was not offered? He didn't know but offered to ask his manager. I thought that was nice of him. When he came back he explained we were sitting in the wrong part of the restaurant. Huh? Why is the card on the table then? Why isn't there a sign saying you must be seated in a different part of the restaurant? Suffice to say we had a good laugh with him dropped it and decided to go on with the meal. Here is where it gets fun. Don't expect quality food. This is not as good as an Applebee's chain or for that matter Five Guys. The burgers had to have been frozen and the bun was ordinary! And they weren't even the worst part. Our queso was as thin as water! My son loves bone in wings. We look over and he isn't eating them. He said they tasted funny. He was right. Most likely a frozen wing and cooked in fried in old grease. I can't rate it horrible because that is a truly train wreck experience, but this comes close. We spent about $30 per person plus tip for an average experience. My recommendation spend $40 more and go find a great restaurant.

We took my 94 year old Dad to NY to see the 9/11 Memorial. He sure looks forward to his breakfast and dinner. We stayed at the Downtown Marriott on West St. that includes the Bill's Bar & Burger Restaurant. We could have walked across the street to Morton's or the surrounding places to eat but he wouldn't go anywhere else after 1st class attention the wait staff provided and the meal he had at Bills. Stephanie V always kept his coffee hot and cup filled and Josh (an upcoming actor from Georgia) welcomed him by name each morning for breakfast before taking his breakfast order. On the 5 minute walk back from the 9/11 Memorial we passed 4 places to eat because my Dad sure felt at home at Bills. Thank You!

Ate breakfast with my husband & I ordered a bowl of oatmeal for $8.50 and I thought that adding cinnamon, raisins, and berries was only $1 extra. Nope. The bill indicated it was $1 EACH! Including tax, my bowl of oatmeal was $12.50. Our waiter George was accommodating with our order but dang - that was expensive!

We called in minutes before the kitchen was due to close and our server was quick to take the order. The house burgers were excellent as were the fries and onion rings we ordered to share. The house brew ‘Bills Pils’ is very good too. It was just what we needed after a long day of sightseeing and Bill’s was very handy after our sunset visit to Top of the Rock.

My girlfriend and I were craving burgers after work so we were looking at some locations near lower manhattan and we realized this place was actually near our office. We were greeted warmly by Daniella and she was super welcoming with a smile which made our first impression a good one. As we got seated she told us if we have any other questions to not hesitate on asking her. As we were waiting for the food, we had some beers and as Daniella was passing by she would always wave and ask us how we were doing. Burgers were delicious and the fries were amazing. We already told the entire office if they ever heard of Bill's so we can't wait to come back with coworkers!
