The Gothic quarter has many tapas/wine bars. Ginger ended up being the favorite of my wife and I. Charm galore. Great service. We had the several appetizers (the spinach croquettes were especially good) and a salad. All were great. When you need a pleasurable experience after walking around Barcelona all day, stop here for food and drinks. Highest recommendation.

A delightful place to eat in a quiet little square in the gothic quarter. It was very warm and humid when we visited and the relative cool and calm sitting outside was very welcome. The waiter was very welcoming and attentive. Food was tasty. Gambas, patatas bravas and the sardine and avocado toast were delicious!

Arrived late in Barcelona and after a bit of a wander decided to try this place. Considering it was pretty late the waitress was friendly, service good and food decent quality. It’s in quite a quiet square if you want to be outside away from the crowds.

Stumbled onto this beautiful little square. We didn’t go into the cozy looking restaurant but it looked very cozy. We had a couple of beers and some very good tapas, a great little find.

The food was amazing. The meatballs are the owner’s grandmother’s recipe and they are wonderful. Service is friendly. Laid back, good tapas and very good energy.

After taking the long way home from the Cathedral, we stumbled across the gorgeous, wood-panelled Ginger. Welcomed in by polite wait staff and a pleasant bartender, we were soon informed by locals also at the bar that we were being served by 'the best bartender in all of Barcelona'.
And they were right! We had a classic Margarita & an Old Fashioned (you can have it with rye or bourbon) and they were easily the best we've ever tasted. Made with flair by the bartender (regretfully we didn't get his name!), they were gorgeous and in our opinion, very reasonable.
We didn't eat there KO, but after seeing the various cheese and meat platters, we wish we had!
All in all, Ginger is a must visit if you're in the Gothic Quarter!

This place is a must see. We came for the cocktails (please get the Manhattan with Rye whiskey). And we stayed. The staff is delightful and fun. We ordered food. The beef carpacchio is easily worth it. We are planning another Spain trip next year and we will be back. Come. Drink. And have a magical evening.

My second visit to Ginger and I would come back again in a heartbeat. The staff are great, the drinks are amazing and the food was fabulous. I recommend the Manhattan and carpaccio.

After a long walk exploring the jewels of old Barcelona quarters, this hidden in the narrow streets bar provides with the so much needed rest, which is complimented by a good inner decor, and the surprisingly complex cocktails, prepared by a young artist bartender, who also speaks very good English. One of his famous creations is the lightly burnt fresh rosemary branch incorporated into the delicious cocktail. The average price for their tapas and cocktails is around 10-15 euros.

We booked a table here online, intending to go for cocktails and eat elsewhere. We ended up staying all night and eating a wonderful dinner as well. The service was excellent and the bar is comfortable and quite cosy. It was Friday night and the bar was busy but never felt overcrowded.

We stopped in for a drink and ended up coming back the next night for dinner. They have the best foie gras I’ve ever had. We started our meal with that and my husband wanted to order another (we didn’t!). This restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner and so incredibly good.

We came here for drinks one night and having enjoyed the relaxed ambiance we returned for delicious tapas , wine and cocktails the following night .
Staff are so friendly and engage with guests effortlessly, they are attentive and keen to make guests have the best time .
Delicious food , great background music too .
