Cozy and romantinc restaurant with kind of 'nordic' 50's interior design. Mediterranian cuisine based on local dishes, healthy cuisine and very good products for the traditional spanish and catalan "tapas". Homemade desserts. Music is putting the cherry on the cake for a perfect dinner with a very reasonable prices. Please note that from Monday to Friday, at lunch time, we only serve daily menu. A la carte service available only from 8pm. Monday to Friday from 13.00-16.00, we serve "Daily Menu" for 13,50 euros.

Our favorite restaurant in Barcelona for menu migdia! The bar host and our waiter were welcoming as always, and lunch was sumptuous: musclos a la marinara with a savory sauce, and the galta de porc estofada was flavorful and tender. We enjoyed the calm atmosphere and 70’s soul on the playlist. We’ll be back soon!

Based on the reviews we decided to make a reservation for dinner at Vivant. When we arrived at 9PM the place was still empty, but within 30mins it was fully packed. The atmosphere was very nice and vibrant. Our waiter Gerlac was very attentive and gave us wonderful recommendations with regard to an authentic Catalan wine to go with the food. We had fantastisch Iberico as a starter. We went with the tuna and the canard a l’orange which were both fantastic choices. Thank you for a great night, we will definitely come back!

We never miss coming to Vivant when we are in Barcelona and eat here at least once a week. Still is the best food and service and the best value in Barcelona for the quality of the food they serve.
Although the menu and wine selection has, understandably, been reduced somewhat in the past year due to covid they still have a good selection and the food continues to be well prepared and beautifully presented.
The hours of operation have also been somewhat reduced so check before you go, or better yet, make a reservation because the restaurant has also fewer tables due to safe distancing .

Excellent service (great waiter) and the place feels cosy and classy. The food is presented nicely but it was essentially frozen food made to look nice. Quality of the ingredients really lacked. Tasted ok overall and the price was correct but not what you expect in a restaurant of this appearance.

Went there alone on a weekday evening around 8:00pm for a quick dinner since it was around my hotel. The restaurant was 20% occupied. I was given the worst table at the restaurant, not thrilled about it since it was apparently not busy. I stayed 45 mins and by the time I left, it was 30% occupied. The food was average, price was fair. Wouldn’t recommend it since there are better choices for sure in Barcelona.

A very pleasant dining experience with our family ... high quality food ... lamb was exceptional, ceviche was tasty and well presented. The service was very attentive. The wine was very good (rioja) and reasonably priced.

We live in Barcelona every winter from Florida, USA. This is the best restaurant we have eaten in. Our landlord referred us. The atmosphere is so nice. It is on a pedestrian only street in a very nice part of Barcelona. The food was so exceptional. Order the olives and tomato bread to start...fabulous. We shared the grilled vegetables and Lasagna. Both were incredibly delicious. The price is so good for the quality of food. They have a good wine selection. I am a gourmet cook who makes international dishes and teaches cooking classes. I wish I could get their recipes. Plus the menu had such a variety. Beef, seafood, lasagna, and the desserts looked incredible. We will come back for those. The quantities are generous. Not only is the atmosphere really nice, the service is first class. We cannot wait to share this with our friends when they come from USA in March. The only thing is if we bring them here first, they may be disappointed in the rest.

We come to Barcelona 3 to 4 times per year. On each trip, we dine at Vivant on multiple occasions. We are never disappointed . Particularly like the steak medallions, the tuna , the duck breast and the cannelloni.

Based on reviews we booked this small restaurant online.
The staff were very friendly.
There's a small menu plus some specials but we found enough things to attract us for a 3 course dinner.
The food was excellent and very reasonably priced.
Overall, a definite recommend!

Vivant was INCREDIBLE! We had the lasagna, prawns, and tomato bread while we were there. The lasagna was our favorite meal that we had during our entire trip in Barcelona! We sat outside and it was so peaceful and enjoyable!! Highly recommend!! But make sure you book a reservation!

Our favorite restaurant in Barcelona, we have dinner here at least once every trip. The service is excellent, and so is the food. imaginative, well prepared and well presented. Some of our favorite dishes are the magrit de canard and the tuna with Wasabi ice cream, and for simpler dishes the canalones or the grilled vegetables, and if one wants tapas there are a lot of great choices also. The wine list is not extensive but the wines are interesting and reasonable and there is enough to choose from.
The space is very cozy and the background music is interesting and just the right volume to carry a conversation.
One would expect to pay more for the type of restaurant it is and the food they serve.
