Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by a waitress and seated. There are paintings, pictures, and other decorations hung all around the restaurant which added a nice touch. There was also music playing in the background the entire time from various places in the Caribbean.
Being the only people in the restaurant, we were served fairly quickly and received our food and drinks in a timely manor.
I ordered the Funky Jerk Chicken which came with rice & beans and vegetables, as do the other mains. The chicken was well seasoned and easy to get off the bone; the amount of sauce poured on the chicken also allowed me to scoop some onto the rice & beans, which made for a remarkable flavor combo.
Other dishes I sampled from the rest of my party included Barbecue Chicken Wings, Stew Chicken, and Dumplings.
The BBQ chicken wings were crispy with tender meat, along with a thick coat of sauce, making for a very enjoyable dish.
The stew chicken, much like the jerk chicken, was lathered in sauce, so much so that I could scoop some onto a portion of rice for another remarkable flavor combo. It was sweet, but not too much, and the chicken was nice and tender.
The dumplings were one of my favorite parts of the meal and very delicious. They were more like Festivals than dumplings (the watery ones) and had a slight cinnamon taste. They were very soft and I just had to go back and order more.
The only complaint I have is that the bathrooms did not have any way to dry your hands (paper towels, air dryer, etc.), but overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and I would go back again.

Authentic Caribbean flavor: that is Eat Caribbean Barcelona. I have been coming here consistently for the last two years as a St. Lucian living here in desperate need to reconnect with my roots. Eat Caribbean has become my home away from home. Adam and Ocean have welcomed me into their space and treated me like family. The food is CONSISTENTLY epic - every time I come, I feel like I'm having a piece of home. From the reggae music to the curried goat and stewed oxtail, Eat Caribbean is hands-down the best food I've had here in Barcelona: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

OMG, this joint is little Jamaica in the middle of Barcelona. The cook was super friendly and his food is super delicious. Our 14 and 8 yr old kids LOVED it so much they wanted to order more food to take home/(hotel).

Recently visited eat carribean restaurant and the shop owner was very nice at first later to find out he was to be asking for my instagram very unprofessional and also he kept looking at my Rear end when I got up. I asked some friends who recommended me to go there and later found out he did the same with them. I was told he doesn’t even have a flat he sleeps in the shop after it closes. 😳

My husband and I are from the West Indies and we were excited about trying some Caribbean food while in Barcelona, we ordered the Jerk Chicken, with rice, peas and plantains. The food was sooooo good! It was the BEST jerk Chicken we ever had! I highly recommend and would definitely go again! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great. They also serve Caribbean cocktails if you fancy a drink.

Delicious and authentic! The chef is amazing and knows his stuff. Since vacationing in Barcelona I’ve come here to eat three times. I’m definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants food with flavor and natural seasoning. Also, there is always people outside looking to come in.

Had a great meal a couple of nights ago. Tired of tapas we went for this Caribbean place. Great staff and service all over and the chef himself welcomed us and presented todays special which we also went for.
The food and drinks were all delicious and great value. Looking forward to them opening up in Germany and Sweden

Great food, music, chef and service.
Being from the Caribbean I was pleasantly surprised to find this spot.
Solid Trini chef… authentic delicious dishes.
Even have the ‘peppa saucue’!
My dad is Trini and this guy reminds me of his cooking (which is very very hard to match).
Great bar.. they also have some local drink like sorrel and pineapple juice.
My fav so far are the wings (don’t miss the BBQ and Jerk) lawd..
Curry and stew chicken.. with perfectly fried plantains, rice and peas and salad is delicious!
I been twice.. and it has already become a staple or my stay here.
Easy to find as well…. Just to toward las ram last and it’s like 2 min walk away from the main strip.
If your Caribbean this is a treat.
If you love the Caribbean food and cultures you hit the jackpot.
Just be warned if you are black (which most Caribbean are), the Spaniards are ver racist.
They will get up and leave when you enter.
So grateful I am from the Caribbean where this does not exist.
Just ignore and keep eating and enjoying!

Tasty Jerk chicken, refreshing cocktail and service with a smile. this place is worth a visit. I dropped in at 6pm Sunday after an afternoon at montjuic swimming pool and it the hearty food was very welcome!

Let me start by saying the food is amazing! The jerk chicken the ox tails top of the line must say. I would just like to add be careful with the young chef In the back he is very friendly but friendly for his own purpose . My husband and I traveled from Finland and we decided to try out the restauraunt and like i said it was amazing. The young chef I believe his ñame is ocean befriended my husband only to ask him for a 3000 euro loan to support a side business which we found strange. Strangely enough he has done this to friends that recommended us to go there . That is the only downside to the business. Sad thing Is that the owner is sweet and professional but I don’t think he knows what his chef is doing to make others feel uncomfortable. We would definitely go back but We would just eat and speak with the owner as much as possible he is very friendly.

Best food I had in barcelona by far, i said what I said!
As caribbeans living in the diaspora, we always look for caribbean food wherever we go. And thank god we did!
Amazing quality food, home-cooked feel, great service, good prices. We had the trini pepper shrimp, the fish and the oxtail (each came with peas and rice and plantain) and a side of macaroni. Also, the trini ginger mojito is amazing. Please do yourself a favor and come here and you'll keep coming back.

Sam set the friendly tone introducing himself and the menu with its daily special. The chef came out to give personal attention to ensure our youngest daughter got food she could eat. The food was unbelievable. The restaurant deserves high praise.

This was the third time we have been to this restaurant and I cannot recommend it enough. The food is of fantastic quality and cooked to perfection. The chef is a lovely guy and will come out and talk to you. I have tried the jerk chicken and oxtail and the meat is so tender and well prepared. Significantly better than many places I have been to in Barcelona and I have lived here over a decade.
As my seven year old said, "the mac and cheese is too good to share!"
The best thing about this restaurant however is the warm welcome you receive. The waiter and greeter is incredibly kind and warm and went to great lengths to speak to us and our children. We could not have felt more at home. I don't think I have received a kinder welcome in any restaurant I have ever been in.
Will 100% be back again.

We were in Barcelona for a few days and wanted to eat cuisines we love but we struggle to find in Mallorca. So we decided on Caribbean and we were so happy we did. Just everything here was lovely. Food was truly outstanding. Atmosphere and service were just lovely and welcoming. I would suggest that you book as the restaurant is cosy and you don't want to be let down by not being able to get a table. I would fly to Barcelona just to eat here - its so lovely

bad experience. I was at the bar and there was a roach crawling by the counter around my drink. After seeing that I was not able to buy food. Also very unpleasant to see the young chef eating food while cooking. Wouldn’t suggest this place.
