After touring the Sagrada, we stopped into Villa Caprice for dinner. The decor of the was one of the most upscale and warmest of all the restaurants we looked at in the area. Service was brisk, but efficient. We ordered the paella for four. It’s an imposing dish, large in size, but petite in seafood. Our table felt that there should have been more seafood in the presentation. Eight prawns, a few clams, and a search for calamari is not our expectation when ordering paella. The flavor was good, but didn’t exit our palate. It’s also expensive, primarily because it’s on the pedestrian friendly Avenguda de Guida in the shadow of the Segrada Família. If you’re working in a meal budget, this may not be your best choice.

My friends and I were searching for a place where we could have a local and good paella. After an extensive research we went to Villa Caprice without any expectations. The staff in Villa Caprice was amazing. They were very attentive and very nice. Especially a waiter called Parsa helped us a lot with the selection of good vines and traditional Spanish food. We have ordered a Seafood Paella which was really good and fresh and the crema catalana was also pretty good. I would highly recommend to have some food over there and for my next trip to Barcelona I will definitely have some lunch or dinner there as well.

Picked this restaurant as walked past and waiter stopped us so why thought why not , as good as anywhere as our 1st night in Barcelona. Table outside with good view , very friendly and helpful waiters and although I could just about get by was given a menu in English, Myself and companion are vegetarians and we had lots of choices . Can't remember exactly what we had - a couple of veg tapas and pizza and a bottle of wine. Food was fresh and tasty, couldn't fault it. Staff friendly and helpful , service and location excellent. Prices okcomparable with what i'd pay in England. Two days later walked past and the waiter recognised us and we went there again. Very impressed that ge remembered our order from before , including drinks and table ! Ordered a selection of tapas Inc padrone peppers, tomato bread, aubergines with honey & goat cheese and patatas bravas. All simple, tasty and fresh. Both nights entertainment was provided by a couple going round the tables singing and playing guitar. We were happy to tip them and the restaurant staff who point out on the bill that the tip is not included

Worst experience at a restaurant I have had! Waiter was very rude and abrupt, he was mad at a younger waiter and just spent time shouting at him and watching him the whole time. He slammed our drinks down without saying anything and not even looking. This created an uneasy atmosphere which was not relaxing. The young waiter was pleasant however! We ordered pizzas and it was nasty to say the least. The dough was like bread and the cheese and tomato sauce was far too liquid-like and tasted bad. I’ve had many pizzas in my time and enjoy making them too but this was one of the worst pizzas I have had. Overall, felt like I wanted to leave from as soon as the drinks were served.

Without a shadow of a doubt the most unpleasant restaurant I've ever been to. The waitress was rude, as soon as I sat down at the table she kept asking me what I was going to eat. I asked for some time to read the menu. Then one of the owners, certainly one of the rudest and most impolite people I've ever met, asked me to move to another table, which the waitress had indicated. After I asked if the Paella was seasoned with saffron. But the waitress couldn't tell me... Then one of the owners, the same one from before, came over and told me that saffron wasn't used. So I ordered a long neck of Estrella Galícia. This gentleman told me they didn't have any and suggested another beer. I said I didn't want one, I just wanted water. In a rude and insistent way, the man, one of the owners, told me that it was absurd for someone to eat Paella with water and offered me another brand of beer. I said I would only drink Estrella Galicia. Then he walked away grumbling. Then the Paella was served, with very little rice and very little seafood. At the end, when I went to pay the bill, I asked the cashier to tell that gentleman to be more polite and respect customers' choices and not to insist on consuming more expensive items. He overheard the conversation and jokingly told me that he had never seen anyone eat Paella with water. In short, I DO NOT RECOMMEND it because the food is of average quality and the service is awful.

We all ordered pizza, which were very good. The service was also very good too. The reason I haven’t given this a 5 star rating is because we found the food and drink comparatively expensive for what we had and compared to other options nearby. Pizzas were 15 E and a bottle of wine 19 E. We would go back, but if you are watching your pennies then there are cheaper options available

Our group of 4 wanted a quick bite to eat after sight seeing, so we thought we would share a pizza and have a beer. We sat outside and waited quite awhile for someone to come and take our order. The older man who came to our table removed my bottle of water and put it on the ground and said it hurts his business, I could not bring my own bottle of water. We should have left at that point but ordered one pizza and 2 beers to share. The pizza came fairly quickly and was fine, the beers were cold. I continued to drink my water when he wasn't around. He only brought 2 plates and handed them to the 2 men in our group and ignored me and my friend. When we got the bill, the bill was 39.60- one beer was 15.40, the pizza was 16.50. The rude server was gone and we asked a woman who was overseeing the tables. She said, you pay for the view. The view was nice, the sagrada familia. Really? We paid by credit card and she kept asking for a tip, we said no tip, she pushed the bill back at us and said tip? We said no tip- total tourist trap, rude, do NOT stop there. People who sat on a chair to rest their feet were told they had to leave unless they were buying something- it was NOT crowded, several empty tables, so maybe be a little nicer to those who are visiting, especially some of the senior citizens who were needing a place to sit for a few minutes. Geez.... again... NO!!!

I walked up and down this street to view the menus at each restaurant to find out what where I wanted to dine for my last dinner in Barcelona. I sat on the patio and had a great view of the Sagrada Familia. I ordered a glass of sangria to start, and for my meal the chicken breast with fries and salad. The service was good as well as the meal, but the view of the Sagrada Familia as I dined, was truly special.

We visited here on our last night in the area and wasn't disappointed. We ordered the mix paella and the chicken paella 🥘 portions were just right for us personally and was delicious. We also had a dessert each and this was lovely too; All the staff were friendly and helpful and everything we ordered arrived in good time. Would recommend to everyone although if you are on a tight budget I imagine there are cheaper options.

We stumbled upon this restaurant when the one we wanted to go to didn’t open till 8. With two small kids very hungry after a long day it was great to find this place open. The staff were great and made a fuss of the kids. Food was good, felt like a real find despite it literally being on the corner by La Sagrada Familia which was teeming with people at 6 o’clock. One key point; If you order a large beer they will give you a stein rather than a pint!

We stopped for dinner and ordered a pizza quattro formaggi and salmon with roasted vegetables. The pizza was good (though a bit pricey at €17) and the salmon was OK, but came with no extras at all and at €23 was nowhere near as good value as other meals we've had in Barcelona. The staff and venue were fine, but overall we were a bit underwhelmed and left thinking we should have walked a bit further up from the Sagrada Familia before making our choice.

Took a chance on this restaurant when we were provided with a copy of the menu as we were walking by. The calzones are the biggest we have ever seen and were very good. The pizzas were a very fair size so we only ate half and took the rest home. You can likely eat it all if you have a heart appetite.

Great spot for dining right in front of Sagrada Familia. Beautiful setting, good service, good food. We basically tried manyTapas and wine. The Pooja, our server was especially helpful to help us navigate the menu and had some good suggestions.

We stopped for lunch before visiting the Sagrada Familia. We had a great plate of Spanish tapas all of which were fantastic. We were served by Jaques who was very attentive, friendly and very amusing. His presence really made for a great lunch. From our seat we had a fantastic view of the Sagrada Familia. There are not many places on the planet with such a view.

My husband and I were on holiday in Barcelona and stopped by this place after visiting the Sagrada Familia. Riki was helping us, he provided the most wonderful service, recommendations and expertise. The Sangria was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend. The paella, steak, and calamari was also very delicious. We went 2x because the food and service was phenomenal.
