Small intimate restaurant where the owner act as host, waiter, chef and entertainer - single man operation. So due to the workload you may wait a bit for the dish to arrive, but it is worth it. "Home cooked" couscous with bold flavors. The lamb meat is cooked to perfection and the sauce with chickpeas and vegetables is very tasty.
This is a hidden gem that deserves a visit.
Average prices. Top quality food. Entertaining host/owner who speaks several languages.

I speak very, very little French, but still felt at home due to the phenomenal work of the proprietor. Ordered the couscous with meatball, skewer, and merguez sausage; the food was simple, but delicious in a homecooked style and the portion size as a party of one was amazing. Try the tea a la menthe.

The food was really good, we shared couscous with the grilled meat and the other mixed meat option. All tasted good and the merguez sausages and the grilled lamb were excellent.
The portions are generous so you can take less than one dish per person if you wish to save some rom for dessert.
White wine was missing in the options but we had a good rosé with the food and red wine was also available.
The restroom was small and clean. Overall I did not find the cleanliness of the place to be an issue as some of the previous reviewers have remarked.
The owner and his daughter gave us good service in a relaxed atmosphere!

The food was crazy. So good, the best meatballs I ever had, lamb was incredible and the service was second to none (especially in france). The chef will make you feel at home and you will leave 100% happy.

It's couscous or nothing. Great couscous royal. Chef explains the choices with broken English and delightful sense of humor. The harissa is homemade and so delicious I wish they would offer it for sale. Veggies to go with the couscous are "a volonté" = all you can eat. Moroccan wine recommended by the chef also wonderful.
Decor is not a priority. Atmosphere somewhat relaxed, definitely authentic. Small terrace for outside seating. Or sit inside. Prices reasonable.

We came across a great whole in the restaurant called "Le Bedouin" It was our first time trying Moroccan. We had the Couscous it is a absolutely amazing dish. I had a chicken and my husband has a lamb both great choices
The ambiance of the restaurant it quite cozy. We are United States citizens and do not speak French however, the owner was very kind, a hard worker with a great personality. We would definitely go back again. Oh yeah and you must try the permanent tea and the desserts both!

Here this family run restaurant serves one dish; couscous topped with various types of meats (chicken, meat balls, grilled lamp shanks or spicy sausages) with a delicious vegetable stock on the side. But they serve this dish to it's absolute potential. We got a warm welcome from Anwar which served us that day, he helped us out with our order. My wife and I ordered the barbecued lamb and meat ball couscous, with the lamb kebabs and spicy sausage on the side. The dish was prepared by Anwar's father heading the kitchen and Anwar made sure that our couscous and vegetable stock never ran out. You could taste that the food was prepared with love and care, and you left the restaurant feeling full and warm from all the species.
If you would like to try this flavorful, hearty Moroccan Couscous dish topped with your favorite protein, you will not find a better place in Nice!

This was our second visit to this couscous restaurant and we would gladly visit more often if we could. The couscous with lamb and merguez is absolutely delicious; the broth served over the dish is very flavorful with just the right blend of spices. The proprietor is both chef and server so very busy, but also very welcoming and cheerful.
The restaurant decor may be dated; it is not French chic, but we gladly come for the food and ambience of a great neighborhood restaurant!

Run for your life: this is a terrible place.
The restaurant was completely empty, which we should've taken as a sign to dine somewhere else. Food is stale and below street-food grade. The place is very unhygienic and the food doesn't taste or look good. I am not sure if the digestive issues we had that night are related to hygiene issues or just the response of our minds to the disgusting food we were served. To add insult to the injury, he charged us EUR92 for 4 meals. The price doesn't match the sub street-food grade he offers. Not recommended at all, avoid at any cost.

Amazing Moroccan meal last night. Chicken and spicy lamb sausage couscous meal with an amazing vegetable broth and nice spicy hot sauce. Service was very good and the food was delicious. Make sure you have the mint tea after dinner. Our server/chef was very friendly and willing to chat for a bit - it was a fun night.

We were two couples in visiting the Nice area as tourists. We wanted Moroccan food and decided to try Le Bedouin. We called around 8:30 and were told they would accommodate us, but we would have to wait until a table cleared. We were served by 9:30. The chef and owner recommended barbecued lamb and sausage. We also chose the vegetarian offering. The food was served with couscous and had a distinct and authentic flavor. The chef/server was very friendly and helpful.

Thank you for a home made meal experience. I felt warm and cozy in this restaurant, similar to when my dad cooked caldo de pollo. My first meal in Nice is one to remember. The young gentleman who served me was very kind and handsome 🥰

Wonderful neighborhood restaurant, with outstanding couscous, along with friendly and efficient service. The owner takes personal care of all his guests and we had a very fun evening. The lamb and the vegetable couscous were both delicious.

Great food with a great host. Sam is a warm and witty person who cooks all the couscous dishes. We had the Royal! Absolutely amazing paired with a rose! Highly recommend taking a walk off the tourist track and visits this place.

wonderful authentic place to have lunch or dinner. we always take the couscous royal. this time we had a moroccan rose with it, and don' take coffee but the sweet mint tea. we really love this place and the food. very friendly chef!
