My family includes to NY foodie kids. We really enjoy a great meal. Ristorante Quattro was a last minute recommendation by our hotel concierge. We had a blast! We were seated right away, service was friendly and quick, food was spectacular - beautiful to look at and delicious to the last bite. Burrata savory and sweet, salad was fresh and the pasta al dente and flavorful. This was a must return restaurant for us. Highly recommended by the adults and kids age 8 and 12!

They are able to modify many of the dishes to make them gluten free. It is a cozy and intimate little Italian restaurant. I loved my spicy shrimp pasta and the chocolate soufflé. Our waiter was very friendly too!

The moment we walked into the restaurant we instantly received a warm welcome by Josee. I mentioned to her that I’m gluten sensitive and she immediately ensured me that they have gluten free pasta, breads and desserts available. We didn’t have a reservation so she seated us at the bar. What a great experience that was. We had the opportunity to speak easy with the staff. They were so very attentive and the food was amazing! Our filet mignon was cooked to perfection! Many thanks for such a great evening and we’ll be sure to return when in Montreal again

Nice little restaurant in Old Montreal. The wait staff were pleasant and joined in our mix of English, French and Italian. The food was good, fresh and tasty. Gnocchi was very tender, but the tomato over powered any basil in the sauce. I found the truffle flavour too much in the penne and sausage dish. A few bites was enough for me. The bread was disappointing. I think I’ve had the same baguette from Costco. There were nice touches, like a bit of bruschetta brought to the table to still make it an enjoyable meal.

We had dinner at this restaurant, on a Saturday night. because for its reviews and it website which promised high quality Italian food. As a family of 3 , we were placed in what was the worst table in the room , by the service area and access to the toilets . Hearing a server clattering the cutlery and the constant flow of servers walking past would have been tolerable if the service was better than being brusque and indifferent and the food as good as the reviews. Sadly the cooking of the food was careless. After waiting for approx 50 minutes from the first courses which were ok. 2 salads and octopus ! The veal chop was ok but the main courses of pappardelle and ragu and gnocchi were very poor. The pappardelle was too thick and undercooked and the gnocchi were bullets. Needless to say we wanted to leave asap. We refused to leave a tip after spending $315 , which clearly had an impact, which led to a brief discussion with one of the staff who basically said no-one complains and the pasta is made on the premises etc etc. Well , either the kitchen was extremely careless with our dishes or the staff have no idea how past and gnocchi should be made or cooked. This quality of food and standard of service would not be acceptable n many restaurants in Italy or in other cities in North America or Europe if quality is a standard a restaurant claims to achieve . A busy Saturday night is not an acceptable excuse either. We are from London and apart from making our own pasta we have eaten at many of the best restaurants and good restaurants across most of the major cities in Italy , most of Europe and the Americas. A busy Saturday night is not an acceptable excuse either. If Montreal diners think this is good Italian cooking they need re-education as do the proprietors of this restaurant. A party of 3 is no less important than a party of 4 or morel nod should get the same attention and a competent kitchen should be able to cope with a bust Saturday night. The bill of $315 came a lot quicker than food between the first and second course and we were not gong to wait another 50 minutes for the dessert. We we're really looking forward to the food at this restaurant.

Service nice. Ossobuco veal - not tender as not cooked enough. The rice which was not rice - not cooked, hard. Made a mistake on the order - so we did not eat at the same time. My friend asked the waitress at least 5 times to cancel the order, she insisted that it would not be long. It’s to me that you should listen to the client. The red snapper tasted boiled and side , well they just kept getting tossed around in the plate. Mistakes happen. You apologize and you try to soften the blow. No such actions at Quattro on Notre Dame. Side comment : which real Italien restaurant includes regular coffee in there meal? We had to pay for the espressos. After the experience the should have at least thrown them in. I am of Italian origin. When I cook at home the dishes are empty. Unlike at this restaurant. And, I’m not that great a chef!!’ Note: we ate it because you do not through food away and everyone knows you do not return food in a restaurant. Thank you

We ate here last year and enjoyed the food, wine and service immensely, so we were really looking forward to returning, and consequently booked the restaurant for two different occasions during our Montreal visit this year. Unfortunately, due to the many problems we experienced on our first booking this year, we cancelled the second booking. From the moment we entered, we felt that we were rushed, as the staff asked for our drink order before we had even taken off our coats and sat down. The next problem was when the server delivered the primo (pasta course) to the table while we were still eating our antipasto. When we expressed our concern about this, the server just left the pasta on the table with our sharing plates underneath. For anyone familiar with good Italian restaurants, this is unforgiveable. The next mistake was when they delivered the secondo (main course), as the server almost left the food on the table without any cutlery. When we pointed this out, we got a very puzzled look as if this would not be a problem. Also, we had to wait an unusually long time for this course. Besides the above service issues, the quality of the food was inferior to last year. The worst offenders were the pasta, which was far too salty due to the excessive proportion of speck to pasta, and the gelato was far too sweet for Italian gelato. The head waiter apologized and tried to compensate by not charging for the gelato and coffee. It certainly felt for us like some of the staff had neither the training nor experience needed for this type of restaurant.

We ate here as it was close to our hotel and I was in the mood for Italian food. I wish we hadn’t! The seafood risotto was a huge plate of rice with many empty clam and mussel shells. I did however find some deteriorating shellfish as I searched. They have very little food with red sauce, cheesy goodness that I was in the mood for. I would not go back to this place.

Just had the most amazing Italian diner at this restaurant. I often go to Italy and was there two months ago and this restaurant brought me right back to Italy….The host was the kindest gentleman from Sicilië, the food was exquisite, the wines tasty and the dessert to die for… Definitely 10 out of 10..

Restaurant Quattro was suggested to us by the Concierge at Westin Hotel in Montreal. Glad we took the advice. Food was great, service was quick and friendly, the wine list was extensive and the desert - OMG - Tiramisu was out of this world ! Try Quattro if you find yourself in Montreal - you will not be sorry.

Service was quick - almost too quick for a romantic meal. Food was 7/10. My partner had a bit of shell in his seafood dish. My medium beef was served medium-well and was underwhelming. Restaurant is bright and loud, but had nice exposed brick walls and linen tablecloths. Service was attentive and drink list was limited, but house red wine was nice. We chose this restaurant to celebrate our 33rd anniversary and were underwhelmed. Pricey for what you get.

From the moment we were greeting by Francesco at the door we feel as if we were visiting Nonna's house! Even though we were there on one of their busiest days of the year (Valentines weekend) we never felt rushed and my wife's gluten allergies were taken into consideration and explained in great detail. Our friends who were dining with us had an equally great experience. Truly a gem!

The food was delicious. The service was stellar and right there whenever we needed anything. My husband and I shared 3 meatballs ,which were huge and delectable. I had the gnocchi, while he ordered a dish of pasta. He was a bit outraged that it came to $14 per meatball, and plus he had to order the pasta special, it did not come with meatballs!) But I reminded him: it's all about location, location, location. Plus one meatball was big enough to be a full-size hamburger if flattened, for which $14 would be expected. The wine list was limited but the one I had was acceptable. The disappointment was the cannoli which was a bit disappointing. All in all I would definitely recommend for delicious Italian food in Old Montreal.

Absolutely delighted I found this cool Italian restaurant in the Old Port area of Montreal. I sat at the bar and my servers, Catherine and Marco, could not have been nicer. The recommendation for Spaghetti allo Scoglio (with red sauce) and Chocolate Soufflé made this a fantastic experience. Loved my first meal in Montreal.

What great restaurant in Old Montreal Thank you Frank and a great chef Pierre Luigi (my paesano) for some great veal, gnocchis, and succulent meatballs. Topped off with a tiramisu worth killing for. Reminds me of the smells and tastes oh my grandmothers kitchen. Thanks for a wonderful experience
