We used a cabin this weekend to try as my son wanted to try a cabin. Its a very lovely cabin. but the shower head in the shower wasn't working, my second day I asked the ladies up front gate as well as the gentleman that was doing fire pits, they both said its was on "order" and " for a long time now" " someone would be out tomorrow"
I was welcome to use the washroom showers ( no cause I was assuming that the cabin would have everything accessible to use) , ( well the next day was sunday no one would be out) The third day , Peter ( Petes Preventive Maintenance) came out and said he didnt know the cabin needed a new shower head till he came in that day and it wasnt on order , someone just picked it up that morning. He was very diligent and kindly fixed it also cleaned the air conditioner filter ( which was really dirty)
There is no broom or dust pan in the cabin to clean up and the extinguishers are out of service dated.
Just a courtesy would have been nice to know for the shower prior to my arrival

The activity people though are amazing with the kids and get out whatever activities that you can play with and the pool is really nice to swim and was cleaned but no shade on a hot day.

Very large campground. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Many sites are a good size. Children can feel safe in the park, and they have many activities for them.
The washrooms and showers, however, were very dirty and unkempt. Cubicles had no toilet paper one time I was there. I would not use the showers, they looked so grungy.
People I was with said the same thing about the bathrooms. Because of this, even with all the pros, I,would not recommend this campground.

First time camping at this location. Camped with 30' trailer on pull-through, with full service. Family with 12 year old boys.

Camped on their Halloween weekend in August. Several trailers in the park decorated, including ours. A couple spots went all out with many decorations and some sparingly, such as ours.
They had a pumpkin scavenger hunt and kids carved their pumpkin afterwards. All kids went out for candy around 6pm'ish. Unfortunately, it rained the whole trick-or-treating time.

The park is nice, and kid friendly. It has a playground, pool, small splash pad and I think a small pool for the smaller kids. It has an old style goofy golf. Mostly flat surface to putt on. Three-wheel cycles for kids to drive around the park (at a cost) and horseshoe pits (free, with deposit)
They had chocolate bar bingos and movie nights for the kids, as well. They have a small convenience store that sells ice cream and some food.

Bands played in the pavilion on Friday and Saturday night. A little something for the adults, I guess.

Our site had a stone pull-through and comfortable size grass sitting area. Looked like most sites around the park were grass.

We mostly came to this park for the kids. They had a good time. We'll see if they want to come back as 13 year olds next year. Lol

On the negative side, some campers left the bathrooms and toilets a disaster. Feces clogged the toilets and some was strewn on the seats and the floor. Kudos to the attendant that had to clean that mess up. This happened on two separate days, as well. The problem was that it was there for a while. I didn't mention it to management, I should have, I just left to use the other facility.
If some campers can't keep from making a mess then maybe the attendants will have to go through the washrooms several times a day to make sure they are sanitary.
The washrooms and showers are outdated in terms of how they look. The toilets seem to be residential style and don't flush well all the time. I think maybe some upgrades are due, in my opinion.

We did find on Monday when we left that upon disconnecting our sewer line our sewer on our lot was fizzing near the top. Which looked to me that it was near full. Not sure we would have known the easy way if we would have stayed another day. We had another camper ask us to dump in our sewer upon leaving because he said the dump station was full, as well. We told him ours was too full. Something to be cautious about next time now that it was close to overflowing.

Other than the washrooms, which is a big deal, we enjoyed our stay and we would return to the park if the kids want to. They enjoyed the weekend.

The park is nice but the amenities are not available. We pay good money to stay at this park. Manager is very rude and pool and jumpy pillow not even running. At start of May we were told the pool needed a part. Now visitors need to pay $10 to get into the park and nothing is running. The pool should have been ready and open May 1 for all the paying guest. But when we ask about this all we get is rude comments from the Manager and assistant Manager.

Well kept and clean park.... But their utilities are inadequate and out of date. Power is intermittent for 2 days, water pressure is terrible and their rules are inconsistently enforced. Have been coming here for three years, but this will be most likely the last time.

Canada Day Weekend 2018 is a bust at Willowwood Campground in Amherstburg! Hydro is sporadic, almost non existent, food is spoiling in our fridge, no air conditioning and mood deteriorating! Park rangers are more worried about campers having more than 1 vehicle on a site. Came to celebrate with friends, very disappointed in the park. People chanting we want hydro, we paid for hydro! Step up to the plate Willowwood. #wewanthydro

This place is absolutely ridiculous. The power goes out every day for hours at a time. The water pressure is a joke, not even able to shower. The worst part is the staff is rude and they don't care. We have been coming for years because they keep telling us it's fixed, well this is the last trip.

The staff is very argumentative, management is completely out of order and very demanding. 1 vehicle per site and all others must park in over flow parking. Then they gave my boyfriend a hard time about his truck because it was diesel and left us-backed in the corner with kind of no choice but to leave his vehicle on site and then tell us that there's complaints that his truck is waking people up in the morning the staff literally harass you on a constant about your vehicles about your company it's ridiculous I do not recommend this park to anybody The only positive thing about this park is it's kept well clean and there are some activities for the children.

Every year I come here and it seems to be getting worse and worse. Showed up this time and apparently their pool is out of commission and will not be opened at all this year. They “forgot” to mention that when I booked.

They also no longer offer to dump the black water with their mobile tank, apparently it is a health issue, but they still do it for seasonal sites... hard to figure that one out. I had to wait 1hr 12min (yes I timed it) to dump the tank before leaving. One of their dump stations was (again) out of commission.

The time before that stay a transformer blew and we didn’t have power for the better part of a day. When it was fixed, it took about an hour or 2 and then blew again. Sounded like fire works.

It is really unfortunate what has happened here. I will not be visiting here anymore.

We have been visiting this camp ground for years. Originally called Jellystone it is now Willowood. It has lots of amenities such as cabin and trailer rentals. A kids pool/splash pad as well as a larger pool. The camp offers tent sites as well. Lots of kids activities too keep them busy as well as a convenience store/ restaurant for anything you might need. They maintain the premises well and make sure things don’t get out of hand. It’s s great place to get away with the family for a decent price.
