Since its inception, Gagnon Beach has been operated as a family venture, offering an ocean front alternative to the cottage lifestyle. Many generations of families continue to call Gagnon Beach their summer home, some having been coming here for over 40 years. Gagnon Beach is your beach-side portal to discovering the maritime provinces of Canada. Conveniently located on Northumberland Strait, a short drive north of Moncton, with seemingly endless miles of clean, unobstructed sandy beaches and a reputation for having the "warmest waters north of Virginia", you are surrounded by a multitude of attractions, providing plenty of family oriented options that are fun, exciting and pleasing to campers of all ages. Gagnon Beach is located 12 miles east of Shediac, off Hwy 133, at the boundry of Cap Pele / Grand Barachois.
Gagnon Beach campgrounds is possibly one of the best private campground in New Brunswick. The lots are clean, well maintained and are all located in a very short walk from one of the most beautiful beach of New Brunswick. The bilingual staff are all friendly and helpful. Well located in Cap Pelé and close to Shédiac and Moncton, it is well located if you want to visit the main tourist attractions of the area. We definitely recommend the Gagnon Beach campground.

Beautiful private beach, gorgeous skies and sunsets, warm water and pet friendly, we rented the trailer by the pool which is very nice and clean. Campground facilities aren't the ultra modern types but are functionnal and more than adequate. We love the area, everybody is friendly, there are very nice restaurants in Shediac and Cap-Pele, If you love seafood and beaches I really recommend you spend your vacation here.

The more expensive campground of our trip and the poorest in services, view and tent sites. Just one toilet for everyone and always taken. No view on beach, there's houses around tent site and this one is a big grass parking, not very charming... We check the review before, it was great so we booked. This campground didin't deserve more then 2 stars. This campground was OK but not great and it deserve to be say. National parc campground are lot less expensive, always have places and, have wondeful view and location. Don't bother you if you cross those on your road.

The check-in experience with Stacy went well. She's a very pleasant person. We appreciated the full hook-ups that were available and the close proximity of our site to the beach. However, we will not be returning because the park was crowded and more like a trailer park with many "permanent" campers. We typically seek wooded campgrounds and Gagnon Beach is not that. We were disappointed with the following: bathroom/shower facilities were old and not clean, water was not potable (was told it must be boiled before drinking), the beach was touted as "the best in New Brunswick" but we found it to be unremarkable in comparison to other campgrounds such as Kouchibouguac and Burgeo.

We have visited this campground for 10 years and it was always great! We couldn’t come last year due to Covid and we are tenters. We were so excited to come back… until we came to our site. We payed for water and electricity, even though I asked if an extension would work in the outlets and they said yes…. Guess what, nope!! Water is here yes, but they don’t inform you that you need to bring a hose. The old management would have done anything to please their paying customers, the new owners, no, not a thing. Unfortunately this will be the very last year we come here and I wouldn’t suggest it anymore.

Good Afternoon John, As new management, we appreciate all reviews (positive and "not-so positive.) We do see that your experience did not leave the best impression with you. After speaking with my staff, they did recall a similar request, as you mentioned above (not sure if it was yourself or not,) but, if so, we do try and provide adapters (to those that may need one,) when we have inventory available. Hoses are extremely limited here at the campground, as normally this is not something people request and (from our understanding) was not an addition to campsites in the past. We take all feedback into consideration and I do apologies if we did not meet your expectations from previous visits. I know we have been taking each day as a learning experience (from new management and coming back into business following COVID and trying to build, improve and allow visitors and regulars the chance to get use to new management. )

Upon arrival, I drove up to the gate, stopped the car and entered a small canteen/office. The lady working was very helpful. She suggested better spots as the one I chose online may have been as dry as other spots. She walked us to the spot we chose. She said we could use their power source to inflate our air mattress. They had a bathroom for tenters only with 2 free showers. They were very clean. The beach was a 4 min walk from tent site. Soft sand. Not very populated. Sunset was beautiful. Next time we will check out the adults only pool.

We’ve been camping at this camp ground for 9 years now and we have experienced 3 different (owners) managements. I must say this year we have seen a big difference in a positive way. Starting with the nice friendly greeting at the office/canteen, the activities, the maintenance of the roads, the cleanliness of the washroom/ laundry room, the beach and the play grounds . I must say a lot of hard work and time was put in this season and it didn’t go un noticed. Thank you for going over and above and can’t wait to see what 2022 will bring. Keep up the good work!

Happy with our stay at Gagnon Beach Campground. People were friendly and the campground was clean. Ocean view was beautiful, the grounds were well maintained and quiet. I would recommend a little work on the bathrooms; they were clean but could use some updating. Overall, we will definitely be back again.

The place was fantastic! The beach is so amazing I even told my husband I would move just to be there. The staff were so helpful and it was peaceful and quiet the whole time. The ocean was the warmest I have ever seen and the beach was very clean. Great place, great time.

Yes. There is a huge beach for families but the pool is for adults only. Everyone loves it. A place away from kids where adults can unwind and relax. There is no lifeguard. I can honestly say, I've never heard a complaint, everyone loves the adult only space.
Vous pouvez choisir d'avoir l'ombre du matin ou l'ombre de l'après-midi (mais pas les deux) ou pas d'ombre. Les emplacements de tente sont très grands et ouverts.
There are more places to choose from in the Grand-Barachois area.
