Vila Galé Cayo Paredón delights guests with its vibrant atmosphere, complete with nightly music and inviting rooms, and is often commended for its beautiful pools and beach. However, some travelers have expressed concerns over the inconsistency in housekeeping and the occasional long waits for hotel amenities. While the rooms receive praise for their cleanliness and decor, issues with service speed and staff shortages have led to mixed opinions on the value provided by the hotel.

Beautiful resort, you will be able to eat even though it is Cuba. The grounds, rooms, pools and beach are top notch. Animation team isn’t the best but there is some animation, nothing on the beach, only late afternoons at one pool.
The negatives is new understaffed staff. You won’t easily get towels and you’ll be frustrated by the snack bars lack of organization, can wait over an hour for hot dogs or pizza. They run out of stuff some days, but then later they get some, ex: rum, wine. Housecleaning isn’t the best because they are told not to replace the towels every day, and you have to ask for water or coffee machine, no drinks are put in minibar.
Overall it’s Cuba, this is a great resort for Cuba and you are paying less because it’s Cuba. If you go knowing this you’ll love it, if you expect the same as a five star in Dominican or Mexico for way less price you must not travel much. It’s a great deal for the price if your ok with the negatives, the positives out way them.

I stayed at the Vila Gale from April 16th to 23rd. Travelled with Sunwing from Halifax.
The entire trip was great! This resort is brand new and on my 9th trip to Cuba one of the nicest resort I’ve visited
There are small challenges, but if you travel with an open mind - you will be fine! We had eggs every day, and lots of toilet paper. Food was typical Cuban food, and we always found things to eat. I really liked the pizza bar!
Public washrooms were clean. Towels in rooms were not changed daily but if you hang them up, you’ll be ok!
The beach had a red flag for 5/7 days, but it was still nice, the wind kept the bugs away and we were able to swim the last two days.
My biggest complaint about the resort was the bugs which is no one’s fault! Once they sprayed the bugs tamed down but they were hungry!
We stayed in block #3 which was the perfect location with a view of the party pool and the ocean!

I’d go back today if I could! Thank you Vila Gale (especially Kevin, Lupe, Henry, Picho at the Party Pool and the Entertainment team) for a fantastic week!

We were there the week of the 17-24. The Hotel is brand new and is a nice resort, got much busier after a few days of being there and this affected the service but nothing major. There were a few shortages of pop and butter but nothing that we couldn't deal with. Our only complaint was with the room service, we arrived on saturday and our room was only cleaned for the first time on Tuesday, and that was because we went to the lobby to complain. When we wnt back to the room all they did was make the bed and take the tip. Washroom floor had beach sand wasnt swept our towels that were on the floor were folded and back on the sink wet not even clean towels. So after another trip to the lobby to complain we finally got fresh towels and that was the last time for the week. These are simple things that should be done with frequency. Snack bar was great and the service from Eric was great!! Lobby bar was good and the service from Raul Daviel and Alejandro was awesome. I have read negative reviews about entertainment but disagree with this, they try but many people dont get involved in the activities, we as a group did and had an amazing time thanks to them!! Special thanks to dj Yatsel, Jorge, Ciri, Ronald, Yan Carlos, Giselle, Yamilka also special hug to Kenny who is no longer there but was a great guy!! Miss my Cuban family Love Papa!!❤️

Been going to Cuba yearly for the last seven years, so I know what to expect while traveling there. The hotel itself is very nice and the layout works well with three seperate pools to enjoy. The beach is small but nice to enjoy a relaxing day at the beach and of course most of the staff are always great! As many seem to point out with their reviews is that there seems to be a lack of staff / training which makes for a very poor experience. Having to use the same bath towel for four days is unacceptable, and when you do manage to get a new towel it seems that they are just dried and not washed and they are very dirty for a new hotel, I actually have old rags that are in better shape. The hotel runs out of toilet paper (I know better and bring my own) which should also not happen ever! The 24 hour snack bar is just a glorified hot dog stand which will only serve burgers / hot dogs until 4/5pm daily and after that your stuck with ham/ cheese sandwich option only. The a-la carts were very inconsistent which I did find disappointing as we usually enjoy them. There is a pizza bar located in the family pool area, but you need to go there for 11:00am to lineup, if not they are all out by 12:00pm. The hotel ownership needs to figure things out to make this hotel an enjoyable experience. I completely understand Cuba and supply issues but you also need to be able to supply the basics to the customers paying to stay in your facilities as well. If not close the doors until you can provide those services period!

The hotel itself was beautiful and was generally clean. The staff was nice and check in was easy. The beach was also stunning. The problem with this trip was that there was no hotel policy of people leaving their towels on chairs and not coming back for hours.

I went with my husband and were early risers when it comes to going to the beach, so our first morning there we got to the beach at around 8:30am just to find every single shade had been taken with towels on the chairs. There was only a handful of people that early and people only began showing up in their “reserved” seats passed 11. There was not enough shade at all for everyone and we were forced to leave the beach around 12 as we had no shade and it was getting way too hot to be out in the sun. I had to wake up the next morning at 6:30 to find a spot and even at that there was 2-3 spots left. Someone literally just left a giant rock on the chair so I just removed it and took the spot for myself.

This was a serious problem through out our entire stay and left a sour taste in my mouth. I’ve been to other resorts and leaving towels or “reserving” seats was not allowed. This hotel needs to seriously implement this policy and people not being allowed to leave their towels. I’ve seen multiple people reserve just to show up hours later, stay abit, and then leave again while leaving their towels. There was also a day where the shade next to me had towels there all day and they never showed up.

Please do not come to this hotel if you’re the kind of person that likes to be in the shade all day near the pool or beach. I burn in the sun very easily so this was unacceptable.

Another thing was they were very stingy with toilet paper. I had to hide my toilet papers just so the maid would give us a new one. There was also days where the maids only passed by our room after 5pm which is insane. I’m aware that they may have also been understaffed.

Overall, not a good experience and I couldn’t wait to go back home.

We arrived last Wednesday and are still here. We knew there was some growing pains but no air conditioning for 3 days even after multiple complaints and visits to the desk. No bottled water left in our room even with more than fair tips. They didn't change our sheets and took 3 days to get new towels and toilet paper ( thank god we brought some ) Now we go back and the bed is made towels replaced but they took our 2 beach towels and if not returned at end of they stay they charge 40 usd per towel. This place has potential but we will never return. I wont write about the food ect as cuba does have shortages and some things are to be accepted.

Beautiful new resort nicely laid out with lovely beach.
Stayed in building 2 facing activity pool. Great air conditioning…shower good, no complaints about the room.
Great location and close to everything. Short walk to lobby and beach.
Food was not good but we knew that with the shortages in Cuba.
Looooong lineups for eggs made to order. Efficiency is not here…they could cook more than 2 eggs on the grill at a time and utilize the grills they didn’t use. Didn’t see a French fry or burger all week…
Long, long lineups at coffee bar…over 45 min is ridiculous…coffee urns should be placed out for those that just want a plain coffee in the morning. Which would cut down on the coffee cafe lineups. Buffett doesn’t open until 7:30 so for us early risers urns would be great.
Staff amazing from front desk to beach bar…they make this resort.
Bring toilet paper…many times they ran out in public washrooms and they never replaced once out…in our room…half a roll for a week isn’t much. We brought our own so we didn’t care. Room was barely cleaned all week…we are pretty neat people so it didn’t really matter…I can make my own bed .
Be careful of public washroom locks…we saw 4 women locked in the stalls because of broken locks in lobby and at activity pool.
Wifi was spotty 1st few days and eventually got better….we were able to stream firestick in the room on the only rainy day we had with no issues.
If you didn’t reserve your beach chair by 6am you didn’t get shade. However there are tons of chairs at beach and pool so you will always find somewhere to park in the sun.
We purchased priority airport seating and it was worth it with sunwing. Drinks and burgers were good…
Would we return? We go for the beach and the relaxation, not the food or entertainment so likely for a good price we would.
Go and enjoy yourself and don’t sweat the small stuff.

New resort. It's lovely. However, there is not enough staff. Room cleaning we got one day only as they came to clean at like 5 pm when we were wanting room to change for dinner, problems with bath towels. No napkins anywhere, no toilet paper at times. U have to wait in line for drinks or food as no waitress service at snack bars or lobby. No nitetime shows! There was like karaoke and a saxophone guy for like 30 minutes but that's it as there is no theater here. It was pretty boring. The beach is OK.. there is a lot better elsewhere.

The rooms were absolutely beautiful. The chamber maid, Yeilys, was amazing. Our rooms were cleaned extremely well and Yeilys would leave beautiful towel swans with flowers. Such warm staff. We stayed in 3201 and had an exquisite view which also included partial view of the ocean.

The resort is new and very clean. Wait staff are great. No air conditioning for the first three days after 4 complaints. It took me getting mad before it was fixed. They clean the floors and your sink and counters with the same rag if they clean the bathroom at all. No toilet paper for over 30 hours in our room. Must public female bathrooms are out as well. No clean bedding or towels for 4 days. So once again we complained. Got our fresh towels but not sheets. Then the maid took our beach towels which we were told are $40 fee if you loose or don’t have a card at check out. A la cartes are terrible food. Please book somewhere else it is not worth the money.

Ola Amigo. Lots of past already pr-made with different sauces (hot meal). That is an option one. Option two - they mix past with whatever you want. Your choice of additions if required (ham, corn, sauce, garlic, tomatoes, long spaghetti , shells, screwdriver). Prepared in the pan. Please note: That was 2 months ago. I doubt anything changed since. Pasta was always available in Cuba no matter what :)) P>S. Forgot - cold salads with pasta mixed with tomatoes ...whatever - option 3.

Once you "checked in", there is a designated office (very close to the lobby) which takes reservations. Ladies at the reception will let you know when and how. Super easy. Now, are they included ? Yes. . I think you were allowed 2 or 3 ala carts per stay (7 days), 10 days - number goes up by one. Varies by hotel.
