This place is a true gem of Costa Rica. We had a wonderful stay in this single-story hotel, surrounded by jungle. The room was beautiful, spacious with lovely linen bedding and a large terrace with an outdoor shower, hammock, and comfortable seating area. There was not a single piece of plastic in the whole of the hotel. Even the wooden recycling bins were lined with paper bags.
The rooms were spotless, the minibar best ever - with fresh juice and nuts and dried fruit. The breakfast was plentiful and excellent with beautifully cooked eggs and fresh fruit. The staff was extremely helpful and everybody went out of their way to help us. The concierge and the front desk were fantastic. There are daily pilates/yoga classes in a beautiful open studio surrounded by nature. The teachers are international but fantastic. An hour of aerial yoga was particularly inspiring. The beauty treatments are out of this world. The massages are fantastic, the staff very professional, kind and attentive. The pool is clean, the beach is 10 minutes walk away. We had beautiful bamboo bikes at our disposal and cycles around Nosara with pleasure. It is a safe beautiful place.

Can’t say enough good about this hotel which we arrived at after a long dusty bike ride. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with a private patio and outdoor shower. The pool was great as well. It is about a 50 m walk from the beach and they have a security guard there during the day so you can leave valuables while you swim. Surfboards and boogie boards are available. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, both with excellent..

We loved this place. It oozes both luxury and peace. Great if you want a place which offers a lot but still you can find rest.
The restaurant offers very good food, the juice bar is a nice addition. The room (we had a normal room) is not huge but with the private patio in the back, featuring an outdoor shower and a hammock) is a great addition.
Lots of offering in terms of yoga and surf boards for free to use.
We heard the people in the restaurant and at the pool from our room. But it got quiet quite early in the evenings. Never an issue.

This hotel has for the most part friendly staff and a decent location. It is not a luxury hotel, but rather an average US three star hotel, but charges luxury hotel rates. It has to make up its mind who it wants to cater to; families with small children or adults seeking a calm relaxing stay. The week we were there, (March), it was overrun by tons of noisy out of control kids and self-important adults conducting loud business on their laptops and phones in all the areas reserved for calm and tranquility. The pool area was completely overrun by kids with all sorts of play gadgets and playing all their games like canon ball and Marco Polo etc. The rooms surrounding the pool area have wafer thin walls and therefore all the noise from the pool and hallways is constantly overheard inside the room. Front desk was always friendly and helpful, but that is to be expected with the rates they charge. The food in the restaurant was good in regards to vegetables and fruit but mediocre regarding fish and meat. We found this to be true throughout all of Nosara though and not only for the Harmony restaurant. If you are looking for calm and tranquility, there are far better alternatives in Nosara. If you are there with young children it might be your choice.

We enjoyed 4 nights at this boutique hotel. Initially, we worried our bungalow number 12 was too close to the road, but when we closed the bathroom door and had AC at night, it was fine. The outdoor patio was great with two comfortable rocking chairs and table,outdoor shower, sofa, area to dry towels etc. and hammock, fan with big tree to enjoy visiting wildlife. There was a sofa and chair and desk in bedroom with small fridge. We were mainly in the room to sleep as we enjoyed walking the beach just steps from the property in the morning, the wonderful breakfast, yoga, the pool with comfortable chairs and shade, and sunset on the beach. We only dined at the hotel one night as there are great places within walking distance to explore. Fun, chill, friendly hotel.

We had a delicious dinner at the Harmony Hotel restaurant. The menu was varied and offered plent if gluten free, vegetarian and dairy free options, too. The watermelon margarita was delicious and POWERFUL! The only thing I would say could be improved was the speed with which the food came. Too fast! We would have liked to enjoy our cocktail first but our appetizers and main all arrived in quick succession before we could complete anything. Quite opposite our other experiences in Nosara. Regardless, the setting is nice and there is plenty of parking and we would return for the food.

The hotel has access to the beach which is great along with complementary surf boards and bikes. The single rooms were super comfortable and cute! Only downside was the sound barrier for the rooms isn't great - you can hear everything next door/outside. They do have private bungalows on the grounds though! Grounds were beautiful, food was delicious (breakfast included). They also offer yoga classes and have a juice bar on site! Walking distance to the rest of town and super welcoming staff.

I stayed at this hotel long before it became The Harmony Hotel. We paid $15.00 per night many years ago when it was operated by a German Gentleman.
Now it is overpriced and the Yoga clients are very unfriendly. If you surf, go somewhere else. Not a cool vibe at all.

Hey M1250VKronn, very cool to hear that you stayed at the hotel before it was Harmony! The hotel changed hands almost 16 years ago (!!), so indeed a lot has changed during that time. You're right that the property used to be owned by a german fellow as a budget surfer hotel named Villa Taype. Among other things, there used to be a swim up bar located where our poolside palm garden is....so the vibe now is definitely different from what you probably remember :) If you happen to have any pictures from that time, we'd love to see them - you can email info@harmonynosara.com. Just left after five days. A really excellent place. Friendly, professional, and competent staff. Rooms are great. Complementary surfboards (don't say that very often). The food is very good but aimed at a certain market - if you want red meat with every meal, not for you. Not cheap but great value.

The Harmony Hotel is our favorite hotel in Nosara! The vibe is so nice and peaceful. The staff are amazing. The hotel is not overly crowded, and the guests that are there are lovely. The restaurant is delicious. The best peak of Guiones beach is right out front for surfing, and they have a quiver of boards available for guests! We can't wait to come back!

I stayed at the Harmony Hotel in May 2018 and did not hear any kind of noise or construction. I enjoyed my stay there immensely.
I hope this helps.
It's off season there, it would be fine. Busy season is Nov to March and it's too busy.
Hi greetings from Harmony! the Fishing Tour and ATV Tour have a duration of 5 hours, the snorkeling tour of 4 hours, and the waterfall tour, hiking tour, horseback riding tour, zipline tour have a duration of 2-3 hours.
