Just got back from the Michalis apartments where we spent fourteen nights. Had a two bedroom apartment and the price included air con which was very welcome. We went as a group of five and rented two x two bed apts on the first floor looking down on to the pool.
Pool was clean and always just the right temperature. No mad scramble for sun loungers with towels draped over them from sometime in the middle of the night. All very civilised and pleasant. The pool area and bar shut down at 7 o'clock or thereabouts and after the all night music in some places it was great returning from Kos town in the evening to a lovely, quiet apartment.
Poolside bar and food was good and well priced but most of all a big thank you to Savos, the general manager who was extremely helpful and nothing was ever too much.
Would definitely book here again. Been to Psalidi three times and this was the best. All amenities close by and some nice favourite places to eat like Cafe Classic, Mavromatis and Nestoras.
Thanks Manos and Savos for a great place to holiday, unwind and just chill. Loved it!

ps I should also mention that this holiday was carried over a couple of years due to COVID but the wait was definitely worth it.

We spent 2 weeks at Michalis for a much needed holiday. We stayed in the traditional studio, the only down side to this being there was no ground floor rooms available at the time & its 2 flights of stairs to the next floor where our studio was situated. The studio contained all you could need for self catering - fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, 2 ring cooker, pots/pans etc. The bathroom was a challenge - you’re in Greece, possibly to be expected, however the shower flooded the bathroom floor every single time. The water was barely ever warm. The toilet was constantly leaking as it has a crack right around the bottom. Bathroom could really do with a refurb. The huge balcony had the sun on it all day & overlooked the amazing hills. Maria the cleaner did a great job & ensured we had everything we needed. Cleaning is every 3 days at request but this was more than enough for us.
The staff were truly amazing & could not do enough for us! Mark & Lorna were always on hand & boy do they have a fantastic sense of humour. They work so hard every day to ensure people are enjoying their time at Michalis, it was an absolute pleasure to see them every day.
The pool bar opens at 9am & you get a smile as soon as you’re seen. Great selection of food & drinks served at reasonable prices. We were slightly disappointed that it closes at 18:30 though. The gardens & pool are kept immaculately clean by Mark. Ilknur (favourably known to us as ‘first’ ) was very hospitable & we enjoyed the laughs we had. Local supermarket Bambam is 10mins walk away, just a short walk beyond that is the sea & a few restaurants. The busses also travel along the sea road at frequent intervals, however they can get very full! It’s 1.40€ pp from Psalidi to the Old town. A taxi to Old town is 8€ if flagged down, 13€ if pre booked.
A big thank you to you all at Michalis for making our holiday superb. Watch this space, we will be back!

Great spot, few minutes walk from a Bam Bam and the gorgeous beaches with all their little bars etc. E-scooter got you into old Kos town in minutes. Rooms are en-suite and spotlessly clean and a good size with a/c and terraces. They have little kitchettes which we found invaluable, if just for the fridges, toaster and kettle. The little on-site snack bar is great value. Pool is lovely. Staff were so helpful and the whole vibe was relaxed. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Spent 2 weeks in an apartment, great location for me,with access to everything we wanted to do. Bicycle, scooter and car hire on your doorstep.beach not far and a relaxed walk into the town.
Apartment basic but clean and comfortable. Pool area very nice and it is a sun trap. Hosts very accommodating with a great knowledge of places of interest to visit. Recommend it for a getaway.

Would definitely stay again. The apartments are scrupulously clean, as are the communal areas. If you're looking for luxury, this is not for you, but we loved the . Comfy beds, no extra charge for aircon, walking distance to shops, beaches and restaurants, huge balcony and good coffee. What else do you need?
Thanks to Mark and Lorna for making us feel so welcome. We'd definitely stay again and would recommend to others.

We've stayed in a studio with sea view for two weeks. The surrounding is quiet and the appartment was really clean. We were happy with the taken measures and cleaning policy during this Covid-times.
The owner Manos is really friendly and kind.
He checked in with us several times to ask if everything was ok. We've had nice conversation topics and we really enjoyed our stay.

My daughter Jade (aged 13 years) and myself (a single mum) stayed at michalis studio & apartments or as we know it m.s.a between 03/08/05-17/08/05. This was our 2nd visit to m.s.a but our 3rd stay in Kos, The place is just so beautiful the apartments are a family run business that is kept clean & tidy. there is a Austrialian bar , yes, I know its something you would not expect in greece! but it is just wonderfull. It is filled with Memorabilia from their stay in oz. The owners son, Manos runs the bar & keeps all the guests "happy" with his cheerful greetings and banter. He is also an execelent cook too catering for your every snack need and making the most delicious chocolate milk shakes (Jade's favourite)

The whole place has recently had a upgrade and each room now has air conditioning and a colour T.V Hair dryers and the shower has a curtain, (unlike some other places I have stayed at.)
Michalis looks after the gardens and cleans the Swimming pool every morning. His hard working wife cleans all the rooms and changes the sheets/towels twice a week. but still finds time to stop and chat to ask if you are enjoying your holiday.

There was none of the usual fight to get the best sun bed. as there are plenty of sun loungers with umbellas & tables. they even provide blow up floats & air beds for the guests to use in the pool.

I WOULD RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE ITS JUST BRILLIANT!

Sue & Jade Butcher.

Friends went there last year. They advised us to go to Michalis apartments. And indeed the location is at the good distance of Kos town, the place is spotless, the pool is very nice. Best of all is the staff : Manos and his mother, Harriett are just perfect in what they do. They give you a welcoming feeling, constantly busy helping you to find the best spots on the island and the best time of your life ! And so it was...

We visited the Michalis for the first time last year. Saw what we liked and booked for 2 weeks from 3rd June, 2006. We arrived expecting good service but what we got was excellent in every detail. The apartment was spotless as was the whole of the complex. Harriott, Manos's mother was a darling fusing over your every wish. Manos could not have been better. He was there at all times and nothing was too much for him. His Anipiodean humour was a delight. He was also a very good cook and again nothing was too much trouble for him. We have alrady booked to return in June 2007. Our stay was a dream with a supoerb pool and accomodation Nothing could beat this. We have been going to Kos for 19 years and this was the best visit yet.

IOW
We booked this accommodation purely on the recommendations from Trip Advisor site and we were definately not disappointed. The standard of accommodation was excellent, spotlessly clean, as were the communal areas, bar, pool etc. The location is ideal, just away from the busy area of Kos but all amenities of the beautiful Island within easy reach.

Manos and his parents are wonderful hosts.

Manos arranged car hire for us with Yanni of Autoway, he was , like Manos extremely obliging with a wonderful sense of humour.

We rarely recommend holidays as peoples taste and expectations can be so different but we wouldn't hesitate in recommending Michalis!!
